Had on tap at Piece. Served in a tulip. Freshly tapped that day. It’s been a while since this was brewed so I was definitely excited to have it.
A: Pours a hazy amber color with a thin white head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thick ring and sticky sheets of lace are left down the glass.
S: Piney hops with a slightly fruity sweetness melding in there. Caramel and bready malts balance this hop bomb out.
T: Great semi-bitter hops resinous hops are upfront with some mild pine flavor. It mixes nicely with some mango and pineapple citrus sweetness. The hops are taken back down to earth by a nice caramel malt body.
M: Medium bodied, slightly sticky in feel with a nice prickly carbonation.
O: This had some great hop flavors and it was very refreshing. Easily drinkable for the ABV. It seems Wingnut is back and better than ever. Get it while it lasts.

On draft at brewpub, poured a darker golden color, aromas of citrus and pine hops, and some light malt. Flavors are the same with a touch of caramel on the back end, nice beer overall. monkeychugg55 (1125) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Gold copper with a small head. The aroma is mostly citrus and pine, with light caramel malt. The flavor is similar in balance, with strong bitterness and some slight alcohol warming. Really drinkable for the most part, tasty stuff. kaser (6464) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Amazing. Darker pour and good head from the tap. Very hoppy and strong but fruity and citrus notes give this an awesome smooth taste

Pours dark amber with light pine notes. Citrus kicks in with a subtle sweet malt that balances the double nicely. Big finish.

On draft at brewpub. Clear copper amber, no head. Nose is earthy malts, some citrus and dankness. More of the same on the palate but the ABV spicy hotness is evident in the finish. Good but not great.

Enjoyed on tap at Piece while having some beers with a friend on a crowded Saturday night. Appearance is a dark but bright gold with a rich white head that laces. Aroma mostly citrus and pine, more citrusy than other IIPA’s. Taste is very citrusy and bitter, more hoppy than malty, surprising for an imperial ipa, thought this one was pretty good. Would gladly enjoy again! deyholla (12663) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2012
On tap at Piece. Pours a hazy deer amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has grassy and pine hops with a slight old fruit note and backing sweet grains. Flavor has sweet grain up front with a nice hop note with resin, pine and a bit of grass. dinkle50 (1591) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2012
Aroma of hops. Nice lacing. Ok head on this one. Dark amber pour that is kind of cloudy. Creamy mouth. Taste is pretty sweet at first. The hop notes take over at the end and really balance this out. For 9.5% alcohol, this is too easy to drink. Nicely done. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - APR 13, 2011
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a moderate orange amber color with an off white head. The nose is citrus with a bit of rind and some mild spicing. Maybe herbal qualities. Taste is citrus and orange. Fairly bitter with a finish in the dry side. Drinks well and was one of the better beers I had there. Piece’s hoppy offerings are defintely above the rest of their brews.
