Bottle. Sweet, tasty and subtle. Doesn’t have much of an aroma. Went down easily. jrodooo5 (1749) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Pours chestnut brown w/ a tan head that leaves a ring of lacing. The aroma is kind of sweet & malfy. The taste is malfy & relatively clean. It has a decent mouthfeel & does a good job of hiding the 7%. Overall it’s a nice brew but nothing to write home about! Bricks (1160) - Delaware, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Super dark amber with great head. Aroma is super sweet cherry-ish hay malt. Tastes like a Bohemian Pilsener with some cherry sweetness. Very smooth. VDuquerroux (1957) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - FEB 28, 2015
Bottle, 75cL. Home. With dad. Traded with @Jaghana. Merci! A dark brown beer with light hues at the bottom of my glass ; medium beige head ; medium retention ; average lacing. Roasty caramel aroma, light spicy, fruity, herbs. Medium sweet. Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, sweet lasting finish. Overall, OK drinkable christmas beer ; thin ; nothing foolish.

A little bit pricey, but when looking at this beer from top to bottom it’s pretty tasty. The focus is centered on the malts, which is fine and what’s produced is a caramel and toasted malts. It’s probably even a little plain, but there’s no flaws noticeable and I’m sure a little bit fresher this might be really good. Now, it’s serviceable albeit overpriced. Bizarre. Finding the Christmas 2013 draft at Eulogy in July 2014 - so way past it’s due date. Tastes really boozy for only 7% ABV. Cloudy blonde caramel pour with a frothy white head that has reasonably lasting foam. Some lace. Feels like a full spicy blonde, but the spices are not as complex (cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg) as one would hope for in a noel beer. Body is somewhat thin but has a bit of creaminess in the finish. Possible there was a more complicated beer there that thinned away over time, but given this pour alone it seems way too simple. Classic flavors but nothing extraordinary. Obviously its past its prime and - at least on draft - did not improve with age.
