Pietra is a handcrafted beer from the island of Corsica. Its brewed with a blend of selected malts and chestnut flour. Chestnuts are a traditional fruits in Corsica, handpicked in the Castagniccia mountain. This unique blend in the world gives Pietra an exceptional personality.

250ml Bbttle. Clear amber color with a small white head. Aroma is a bit disapointing, was expecting chesnut but got mild sweet malty aroma. Medium body, nice mouthfeel. Taste is light malty sweetnessand a moderate hoppy bitter finish. Better than I anticipated and worht tasting.

Farbe: dunkles Kupfer. Wenig bestndiger weier Schaum. Geruch malzig s, leicht nussig. Geschmack: slich malzig, nussig. Etwas bitter, ohne ausgeprgte Hopfenaromen. Gar nicht schlecht.

I drank this bottle at Lutry beach with a beautiful landscape and enjoying the sun without wind. In my own opinion, for an industrial beer, it is not the worst one and better than one heineken, for exemple. Firstly, I found the color pleasant for the eyes: copper like one English ale, thin and white head, normal carbonation. The taste is really sweet but it is acceptable, touch of chestnut that is present and giving this sweetness but it is not that strong, malty, bready, few hop, well balanced. It is not the king of beers that I could drink thousands times but it is ok.

Mrkt halmgul med tunt vitt skum. Doftar lite h och halm. Smaken medelfyllig, lite stmalt. Eftersmaken hyggligt lng, lite st och besk, men med en metallisk bismak. OK trstslckare.

Bottle from a French Supermarket multipack. Brilliant amber appearance with a white head. Not sure about the aroma - sweet and a hint of chemicals. Sweet start with some balancing bitterness. The taste is better than the aroma - fruity and with caramel notes, but a harsh bitterness comes through. Smooth mouthfeel. Wouldnt bother with another.

Birra dal colore ambrato. Schiuma dal bianco sporco, fine e poco persistente. Allolfatto sentori di nocciola e malto tostato. Al palato mediamente corposa con note di malto tostato, castagna e frutta secca. Una birra discreta ma niente di eclatante.

Le Waterloo de la bire Ne en Corse cette bire porte donc le nom bien franais de "biera corsa" .. tout comme le napo sappelait napoleone buonaparte ... Mais chacun fait comme il lentend, bien entendu (cest le cas de le dire..). Bon, vous voulez vraiment que jexplique comment on met de la farine de chtaignes dans la bire pour ne rien en faire, ou vous avez compris que cest inutile. A noter quau nez cest plutt un peu de noisettes que lon sent Puis cest du caramel sur du malt pils, en gros .. En corse, cela se dit "accumudata cu a castagna" .. Donc, la castagne quoi!! Mon exemplaire tait 16 mois avant sa date, donc bien frais. Heureusement. CONCLUSION: petit lexique ... biera donne bire, pietra donne pitre ..
