Keg @ GTMW ’16. Gold pour with a white head. Nose is a total grapefruit bomb. Bright citrusy dry hopping. Flavor is a bit sweet. Chewy grain and a bit of honey. Lightly bitter. Somewhat soft, light carb. deyholla (12647) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 1, 2017
Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2016. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grapefruit, a bit of earthy citrus and a grain backbone. Flavor has a good amount of bitter grapefruit, some earthy citrus, a bit of grass and a hint of grain backing. muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 22, 2016
12 ounce snifter from the tap at the brewpub. The last of my initial 5 samples at this new-ish local brewpub could well have been a disappointment after the magnificent previous IIPA I had, but as it turns out this was a very credible, if not hugely distinctive effort. Pours a deep orangish-bronze, nearly opaque, with a largish mostly lasting head...the nose is resinous, piney, lightly spicy (pepper, thyme), ,deep enough but not exactly exciting... the body is quite juicy at first, eminently drinkable, but dries out considerably towards the finish, which is flinty and acidic, for a moment almost acrid. Quite full though much lighter than the other two strong beers I tried. islay (3185) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 28, 2016
22 oz. bottle, consumed on 5-21-16. Pours a cloudy, deep bronze with a slight apricot hue. Much suspended particulate in the liquid. Moderate effervescence. Very small amount of beige head; the lack of head is unfortunate. The final pour is murkier and has more head, albeit short-lasting. I feel mixed emotions about the appearance. Fruity, medicinal aroma is not what I anticipated. Scents of iodine, fruit tart baked good, and pink lemonade. Initially dry, bitter flavor. Iodine or medicinal quality from the aroma continues into the flavor. Apricot, lemonade, and pine needles. Like fruit juice or nectar sipped in an aromatic boreal forest. Some caramel sweetness balanced by a sharp, citric quality. Alcohol taste noticeable but not overwhelming. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Medium to full body, full for the style. Smooth yet lively in the palate. Improves upon multiple sips. Interesting and memorable beer, but I’m not sure it comes together properly. For better or for worse, it tastes like it was brewed on a very small scale; not like homebrew but rather like nanobrew. It’s more interesting yet less polished than most IPAs, especially bottled or canned IPAs that make it out of breweries’ taprooms. I added an extra point to the overall score for uniqueness. Part of me loves this beer; part of me considers it notably flawed. Those parts average out to earn it a mediocre rating. bytemesis (9602) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Tap. Pours hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is a pleasant tropical melon mix, hints of dank pot. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, dank and juicy, but a bit of butter as well. Medium body, low carbonation, approaching flat.

Bomber from Cork Keg in Rockford. No bottle date. Cloudy orange-tan pour with an off-white head leaving some spotty lace. Aroma has hoppy notes, citrus and florals. Also tangy and malty. Taste is of sweet caramel, orange juice and light pine. Medium bodied. Quite sweet. Finishes sweetly orangey. Shrug, hints of citra in the nose did not bring enough bitterness to the party. 13.2

Very smooth and enjoyable. No bitter after-taste of hops. I easily put down 3 pints without feeling full.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2015 From a bomber, pours a nice hazy orange with a foamy white head. Faint grapefruit aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet with a bit bitter finish. I was expecting more considering this is about 100 ibu’s. Pretty nice beer, I’ll try it again. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2015
Enjoyed on tap at Ballpark Brewfest in Schaumburg, IL. I didn’t take tasting notes for this one, but remember this being a nice IPA with a large hop profile that was rather complex. I think I’m going to seek this one out again to try it out.
