From a 330ml bottle on 14/1/2012. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small head. Has a modest grainy aroma. The flavour is sweet malt and a touch of citrus. For a pilsener, it has a disappointing hop profile. Just barely better than bog standard macro pale lager. highlandlad (1480) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - DEC 9, 2008
Another disappointment in a poor crop of new beers at this years mini-beer fest at Sydneys Australian Hotel. The Pigs Fly pale ale is passable but this "pilsener" misses the target by some distance. Piss yellow colour with a poor head. Eccentric aroma of canned pineapple and Seltzer - very medicinal with no obvious Saaz. Fizzy palate. Weak malts, low ibu for the style and that nagging Seltzer note. Problematic. Avoid. [Bottle at the Australian Beer Festival, Nov 2008] hawthorne00 (4067) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 30, 2011
Bottle. Pale gold with a modest white head. Mild grainy aroma with citrus and weeds. Fizzy. Taste is sweet and grainy with some lager sourness and less than balancing bitterness. MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - NOV 20, 2008
Sampled at the Australian Beer festival (Bottle). Arrived golden yellow with a small, frothy, white head which was average lasting. Aroma was of grainy malts with honey, faint notes of lemon citrus and some wet paper. Flavor was overly sweet and was dominated by wet paper/cardboard with stale grainy malts and a minimal bitterness. Very little to report only words that come to mind are; unpleasant, bland and cheap homebrew. Steer clear of this one, just another pale larger to add to the list. Bottle. Hate to be brutal, but there’s bot much doing here, poured it down the sink after two sips...
