Appearance: Dark brown. Opaque. Tight layer of tan foam
Nose: Deeply roasted malts, coffee and a very strong element of vanilla
Taste: Very vanilla. Deeply roasted malts with aspects of caramel and coffee but primarily vanilla with a bit of sweetness.
Body: medium to fuller.
Parting thoughts: while vanilla coffee beer might be something I would expect to like quite a bit, but beer became too much through the course of the sample. I imagine that the vanilla, scorched malts and sweetness became a bit too much for me.

Much better than the original. Vanilla smoothes out the ashen finish. Still has a burnt coffee flavor with residual sweetness. DialSquare (5234) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 6, 2017

Draft at Arch City Tavern, served in a flight. Pours a deep brown, not quite opaque, with a small beige head that settles into a thin lasting cap. Notes of cocoa and vanilla beans, mild toast, and a hint of earth. Really simple. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, sweet mouthfeel. Not bad. edgallow (4847) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 10, 2016
Draft sampler pours black with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Taste is vanilla, coffee and chocolate. JStax (7522) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JAN 3, 2016
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a darker brown to black with a khaki head of foam. The aroma has nice vanilla bean sweetness coming through with a toffee and chocolate background. More of a sweet beer, and much sweeter than the base beer. Medium body and medium carbonation.
