On tap at Zlý Časy beer festival. Very creamy head, sort of Irish ale style. Woody texture with notes of iced coffee flavouring. Bit of unpleasant bitterness in the finish.

(Rating #4891)

On tap at the brewpub. Quite opaque tmavy with a thick off white head. Aroma is quite docile, light roasted grain, prune juice and a few discreet herbal notes as well. Taste is light, light roastiness with a sort of residual fruity sugar that lingers lightly on the tongue. Light palate, dry despite some perceived sweetness. Just a bit bland but easy drinking.

MartinT (10102) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 10, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Dry and delicately roasty, this Tmavé benefits from its soft, natural mouthfeel to showcase diplomatic plum juice fruitiness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam sits atop the opaque darkness.
-The herbal character (calamus) is subtle throughout and could actually be mistaken for hoppiness.
-Mouthfeel is lean and bubbly.
-This was a nice pairing with the restaurant’s many meat dishes (or even roasted fish).

On tap at the brewpub.
