Good beer, quite a bit of spices for a brown. The main reason I tried it was because it was labeled as an Imperial Brown Ale, which was a first for me.MrBunn (2826) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 25, 2013

From growler. Pours a nice deep brown but has little head. Not sure if the cap was a little loose or what. Aromas are brown-raisins, nuts, autumn leaf litter and a little chocolate. Flavor is more of the same, but with an astringent alcohol bite to it that is slightly disruptive. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 25, 2012
On tap at Hudsonville Winery/Pike 51 tasting room. Ruby brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and mild chocolate. Taste is malty and sweet with nuts, light chocolate, mild dark fruit and some nut rinds. A touch of warming on the finish. bigtaster (979) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 16, 2012
Dark Brown mostly opaque, soapy off white head. Nose with caramel slight bit of dark fruits. Taste is strong molasses with a bit of alcohol finish, there are some dark fruits, a bit of anise.
