On tap at brewpub in downtown Seattle. Pours cloudy golden with off-white head and crown lacing. Aroma: citrus, malt. Flavor: malt-forward; caramelized brown sugar, caramel, some hop resins. Mouthfeel: full-bodied, rich, with a burst of sweetness that dissipates quickly, leaving me wondering, "Did I even just taste that?

Pours a golden copper with sudsy white head. Piney dank flavor and aroma. Notes: On tap at the brewery, Seattle visit May ’17

Bomber pours a hazy copper with a one finger sand head and good lacing. Aroma is a nice pear and other tree fruit. Taste is awesome, ideal sweetness, simple flavors. Bitterness is a perfect mild to medium and the aftertaste is a short-lived sweet fig flavor. Really impressive!

22oz bottle 9/9/16 (Pike Brewing company-SEA)-42° in shaker-Pours an orangish amber with a small off white head. Aroma of malt, hops, and sweetness. Taste of the same with a bit more citrus and sweetness. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and a bit more malt and sweetness than other double IPA’S.

Hanuta06 (469) - Washington, USA - MAY 29, 2016
Serving: from tap. Aroma: light hop. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, medium-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter, citrusy initial flavor and lightly sour, citrusy finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good. Not overly bitter.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark, copper color with a light, lacing head. Strong, hoppy aroma. Some citrus but mostly hops. Smooth taste. Citrusy hops taste. Not much of a dry finish. Decent.

12oz at brewpub. Clear golden color. Sticky long lasting head with a whole lotta lacing. Lots of fresh slightly lemony and slightly resinous with moderate bitterness. All those aspects are well within reason a hint of tropical flavors. Taste is bright on hops, malts don’t get in the way. Clean malt profile but bitter and lemon heavy hops (not to heavy). Decent DIPA with clean hop flavor but I’d like hops flavors to be better. As the beer warmed up a sweet (maybe light butter) flavor emerged. Was hard to tell.

JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 3, 2015
On draft at the brewpub Seattle. Golden amber pour, slight haze, with a white head. Sweet and fruity, resinous hops, caramel, a bit sugary, and moderate bitterness. Not great, but one of their more enjoyable offerings.

slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 6, 2014
"a surprise on tap at the Pike pub. not a letdown, but less focused and not as good or as well balanced as their regular IPA. the body was a little bigger and juicier, and the flavor a little more bitter and sweet. not the best, but not bad at all."

Draught at Collective on Tap, Woodinville, WA
Cloudy golden color with creamy head. Hop aroma, fruity, but not very strong, with a light animal note. It expresses itself better in the flavor, which is lean, with pale malt, very light sweetness, very fruity and resiny hops, and a hint of fox grapes.
Very good.
Earlier Rating: 5/2/2014 Total Score: 4
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color with small head. Sweet caramel aroma, some toffee, mild hop fruitiness, olive oil. Lean mouthfeel, with just a moderate level of sweetness; strong caramel flavor with a toffee accent; powerful bitterness; the hops are very resiny, piney, and also with a strong bitter orange character.
Old school; pleasant because not sticky; among DIPAs, a quaffable one.
