Dry and crisp with a honey-like aroma, fruity taste and clean aftertaste. Pike Dry Wit is a superb summer beer which we encourage you to garnish with a slice of fruit, like an orange or peach. This beer has a very light mouthfeel due to wheat in the grain bill. Pike Dry Wit is traditionally spiced with coriander, orange peel and a touch of lavender.

[Tap] On draft at the Seattle airport. Pours a light yellow color with a considerable haze to it. Herbal aroma includes grass and coriander. The taste is also surprisingly herbal, with mint, lemongrass and grainy malts coming forward. Mild and dry citrus hop finish. Thin palate. A bit different, but not really something I am a fan of.

Light yellow, white head. Spices, yeast, and heavy on the lemon. Smooth palate, light, refreshing, v very lemony in the finish.

arondee (601) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 2, 2011
Pours a cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is orange and coriander. The taste is dirt, orange peel, coriander, and lemon. Pretty good, very dry, easy to drink.

sulawang (1161) - - OCT 2, 2011
pours cloudy orange gold, with minimal head. Strong honeyed oranges on the nose. Rather thin bodied, tastes of oranges, cinnamon and nutmeg, medium dry finish. Not digging the lack of boldness and wateriness.

appearance is cloudy tan color. aromas of spice and some yeast. Initially, this showed promise with some good fruit flavours (orange, pear, pineapple?). However, mouthfeel is overly light - hence, the "dry wit" name. Strange style as a full-flavored wit should not seem like you are drinking water. Interesting interpretation, but not impressed.

Clear light golden coloured body with a frothy white head that fades to about one centimetre tall and very little movement in the body. Aroma of light yeast, some almost skunky malt, a touch of dry woodsy notes and a very very light bit of coriander seed freshness. Light-bodied; Medicinal malt flavour at first with a touch of wheat, some light spices, a hair of coriander seed and perhaps one single sliver of curacao in the mix - not much going on at all - very light, airy, dry and herbal. Aftertaste shows some lightness and a bit of spices, but nothing complex and not much exciting at all. Overall, a very light and herbaceous beer with a bit of spices in the style of a wit, but the complexity and yeast/wheat note were drowned out completely with this one. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 20-July-2011 sampled at home in Washington on this, the final day of Summer and the first day of Autumn, 2011 - 21-September-2011.

22 oz. bottle- Pours semi cloudy orange with a 1 finger head. Aroma is generic beer? There is some lemon in there too. The flavor is glad to say better than the aroma, a nice wheaty flavor with a noticeable hop bite, the lemon comes throuh too. I do get a little grainy taste, especially after the swallow, I can see why they recommend garnishing this with fruit, to mask the boringness of it. Body is medium, carbonaiton is medium high. Overall have had alot better wits, including the mass produced Blue Moon, very sub-par for the style.

Nuffield (4172) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 10, 2011
Hazy, off-yellow, dense white lacing. Bitter, hopped finish. Plain, lacking vibrant fruit. Dry isn’t a positive addition/change to the wit, I think. (on tap at brewpub)

SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - SEP 8, 2011
22 oz bottle. Pours a nice looking cloudy light orange with pillowy white head. Aroma of light citrus, subtle citrus hop, floral, faint banana and lemon grass. Flavor is much the same with an obvious wheaty note and hints of, I believe, nutmeg. Light, soft body with light, fizzy carbonation. Overall, a tasty and relaxing beer.

mcberko (17898) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 29, 2011
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of wheat, dry citrus and some orange peel. Flavour is quite floral and citrus, with dry biscuity wheat and some lemon zest. Watery and weak.
