2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap, pours a golden color with a medium white head with hardly any lacing. Smells of sweet malt and a mild Belgian yeast. Not much flavor for a tripel. I tasted light clove and banana notes. Mouthfeel was pretty light with mild carbonation and a semi dry finish. All this beer did for me is give me a good buzz not much else. Look elsewhere if you want a quality Tripel.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampler 8/26/16 (Pike Brewery-SEA)-Pours hazy golden with a small head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, and malt. Taste of the same with some sweetness. This medium to full bodied brew was a surprise as I was not expecting much for this style.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Taster at brewpub. Ugh. Thick, sweet, cloying. Not nice. Baked beans in there somewhere. Some breweries shouldn’t bother trying Belgian. Stick to the IPA please.

On tap at Pike Brewing. Not my favourite style but a well made example with a restrained yeast spice flavour.

A great glass of Tripel. The Cannery Row enjoys this great Belgian Ale tasting beer from Fred Meyer.

Rating #1910 - 2015.09.24 - #CraftTakesSeattle Beer 9 - Flight at taproom. Pour is pretty standard, hazy golden orange with a bubbly white head. Aroma is belgie yeast, orange peel. Mouthfeel is crisp, medium-heavy alcohol character, medium carbonation. Decent balance, alcohol isn’t confrontational, nice sweet notes linger into finish.

Tap at Pike. Clear yellow gold pour with a white head. Yeast and esters on the aroma. Slick medium palate. Maybe a bit too sweet. Decent.
