3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz Bottle. The pour was a murky medium orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white frothy head that reduced down to a thin puddled film, and had excellent sheets of lacing.
The aroma was quite mild of a light grain malt and a doughy yeast with notes of banana, bubblegum, citrus (orange) and a hint of coriander.
The taste was moderately sweet and decently malty with a strong candi sugar presence early on, and then became a tad yeasty with hints of banana, orange zest and a fruity yet spicy finish. The flavor stuck around for an average time proceeding the swallow, with the mildly spicy fruitiness fading steadily off the palate.
Mouthfeel was just a hair past light in body with a thin creamy texture and a nice soft carbonation.
Overall this was a tasty but very sweet Tripel, which had a good fruit presence and a light hint of spice. Although it was nothing overly special it did have a good drinkability... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews
Clear golden pour with a quickly dissipating, frothy head. The smell is fruity and sweet. The taste is lightly bitter with a lemon and honey phenyolic taste. The finish is dry and boozy. Overall, a decent beer considering the local rarity of the style. luttonm (6955) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 15, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Another classic I'm finally getting around to rating. Frothy white head, darker richer gold body. Nose is brewing malts and a Belgian hop aroma. Doesn't quite sync. Body is lightly sticky sweet. Quite an American interpretation of the style. Seems like a Belgian fermented golden ale, a quite strong one. Hops are a bit green and raw. Not great. This really wasn't a very good tripel. Fairly weak hop presence with subdued aromas. Looks the part with a nice frothy head, however. jbruner (5456) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 6, 2017
Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild Belgian spicy esters and a good amount of light fruit and malty sweetness. Taste follows, booze well hidden, sweet and fruity, not hoppy enough to be truly Belgian, but solid for an American version. shawnmurphy (666) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - JUN 28, 2017
12-ounce bottle pours mostly clear golden with small white head and lacing. Aroma: clove, banana, honey, lemon. Flavor: sweet malt, honey, banana, bubblegum, yeast, white pepper -- with a lingering sweet caramelized banana. Mouthfeel: full-bodied, rich. Similar in taste to Golden Monkey by Victory Brewing in Pennsylvania, yet with additional sweetness (too much for me for this style).

Sampler 8/26/16 (Pike Brewery-SEA)-Pours hazy golden with a small head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, and malt. Taste of the same with some sweetness. This medium to full bodied brew was a surprise as I was not expecting much for this style. Heidbummer (977) - SCOTLAND - FEB 22, 2017
Taster at brewpub. Ugh. Thick, sweet, cloying. Not nice. Baked beans in there somewhere. Some breweries shouldn’t bother trying Belgian. Stick to the IPA please. hershiser2 (3823) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 10, 2016
Bomber from Total Wine, Gainesville. Pours hazy golden with an inch of white head. Aroma of grasses, some fruit, yeast, lager. Flavor is glue, yeast, light fruitiness, grass. Tastes more like a really strong lager to me. dlovell2 (2379) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 30, 2016
Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity malt with spicy yeast. Flavor is sweet fruity malt with some citrus. Finishes citrus with peppery yeast spiciness. StevieT (2039) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 27, 2016
On tap at Pike Brewing. Not my favourite style but a well made example with a restrained yeast spice flavour.
