Sampler at the brewpub. Darker golden color, clear. Earthy musty hops on nose. British musty mold yeast character. Hops brighter on palate. I would prefer less mustiness and cleaner, brighter flavor. Luvystypotables (2099) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JUL 9, 2014
Aroma of hops, caramel color with a lasting well laced head. Chalky taste with a hint of hops, creamy feel chalky finish. mintzmeet (458) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Nice dark copper color with thick but thin head. Nutty malt flavor. Thinness. Light.. onceblind (10893) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Clear gold under a thin white head. Nose is biscuity sweet with a touch of toffee and light floral hops. Delightful nutty toffee start with a lightly bitter grassiness on the finish. Hoppy and nutty sweet. Exceptionally balanced.

Draft brewery 2/02 (Old Notes)-Pours a medium amber with a decent sized head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and malt. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is not too shabby. BeerandBlues2 (14027) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 12, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours clear tawny with a large, creamy beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy pine and resin hops, cookie and toast malt apple esters. Flavor is sweet and toast malt, dates, medium hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2014
Tap. Pours a mostly clear copper body with a foamy off-white head that fell to a wispy film. The nose is pretty light on the hops, less than the Golden Ale that was on tap. Some light caramel malt. The flavor is better though, some light husky caramel malt, finishes a touch grainy, a light lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with some sticky resiny hops on the finish, fine fizzy carbonation. Decent enough, but the aroma hops were a little weak. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 19, 2013
Uncertain if this is an amber, or pale based on label, WTF?
Review date: 10OCT11
Bottle date: unk says 210B on the label, maybe (July, week 1ish?)
A: Pours a hazy dark amber ale with a finger of caramel cream which falls quickly to a broken sheet of the same. Spotty lace is weak. (2.5)
S: Smells like caramel malts, sweet. Some earthy hops, and toasted sugar (3.5)
T: Oxidized malts, water, an alkaline tone, and some bitterness. Unimpressive. (2)
M: Thin (for either style) with moderate carb. Dry finish. (2)
O: I am not impressed and not surprised I’ve never seen this on tap anywhere (2)

Deep clear amber. Slight caramel and dry bitter hop flavor. Med bodied throughout. Slightly more malt flavor than the naughty Nellie pale ale.
