Grapefruit aroma with a little caramel and roasted malt. Semi sweet start with a slight bitter finish. Above average for a pale ale.

pretty darn decent pale..............................................

9/10/02: Dark copper-amber with rocky wheaten head...Smells lightly of nuts--more accurately, nutshells--and malt...tinge of hop aroma as well...Nice malt front followed by a light, refreshing wave of hop bitters followed by...a quick fade...This starts out so promisingly, and then the flavors drop away so meekly...Mild dryness is left as a reminder of what might have been...What is here is good--just not enough of it...a refreshing near-miss...Re-Rate 10/02/02: Slight fruitiness came through this time in the front wave and again in finish...Again, flavors hit like a pistol shot at first taste and then they're gone...This would be dynamite with a rounder profile...

Decent ale, but nothing special sticks out to recommend it over another. ..

A relatively attractive honey red, but lacked a bit in head and virtually no lace. First sip was a bit misleading, I was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing hoppy/floral flavor but furthur down the bottle I realized there was a lot missing. The finish on this pale is rather weak and left little more than an unpleasant bitter lingering on the tongue and palate. My rating of this beer steadily decreased the further I got through the bottle; there just isn't that much here.

On tap at the Pike Pub and Brewery it is pretty tasty. But try it again and again- pretty watery. Are we sure this isn't Budweiser in disguise?

Exemplifies the APA style, in my opinion, especially the west coast thang. Nice aroma, well banaced in malt depth and hops. Not dry hoppped, but nice and deep and alive. Body is nice and firm for the style, and excellent use of the bittering hops. I'm such an APA slut.

A beautiful amber pale ale with a sufficient floral hop aroma and smooth hoppy flavor. Lovely on the palate, though a tad lacking on the mouthfeel.

good but not great, after having a couple of my faves this one didn't compare
