Tap at the brewery with commomshawn and rosskyle. Slight haze and a full finger white head. Golden orange color. Pleasant and refreshing aroma.. citrus and spices. Taste has more bitterness than anticipated. Floral and hoppy. If they could smooth out the aftertaste, they would have a pretty awesome beer. As it stands, I’m getting citrus at the start but losing it in a wave of bitter, resin notes. commonshawn (1259) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2015
Tap at brewery in pint glass with commonmac and rosskyle. Hazy pale gold with bubbly white head. Holds head well. Nice aroma of spice and sweet . Really good nose. Drying slight hop, some floral and finish is grainy hop. Thought there would be more spice and sweetness. A bit of yeast exists. After a while the spice and pepper shows up. Pours a huge foamy head on a clear light straw body.
The aroma is honey, wildflowers and a little mint. Nice
The taste is honey sweet, an odd bitterness and hay.
The texture is soft.
It has a weird flavor finish, but it’s fine. beastiefan2k (3981) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - DEC 28, 2014
22oz bottle poured into St. Augustine chalice. I think this was bottled about 6 months ago. I only got this beer because I am ticking Pike (and I sort of, kind of, mmmmm, like Pike). I have been putting off drinking it because of the uninspired (and sweet) Tripel. The beer pours a dark golden color, completely clear through out (read: filtered). Aroma surprises me by NOT being overly estery or sweet. WOoooo!!!! Aroma is bitter, dough, faint sweetness, grainy character, a little candi crust. Flavor has no bubblegum or banana. Lots of good bitterness and herbalness in the flavor. Not sweet but strong bitterness and thick bread malt. A little light lemony character at the end of the flavor. Really surprising and I like it. malrubius (2896) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Bottle from total Wine. Pale hazy copper with lasting head and lace. Floral fruity lemon pastry aroma. Medium tropical fruit sweetness with spicy peppery citrus bitterness and very dry finish. Soft carbo and light body. This beer was made for my personal tastes. Wicked fuckin excellent.

Overall: a nice, drinkable beer. Delivers on the naming of the beer - saison with hoppy characteristics. chicowv (478) - Canaan Valley, West Virginia, USA - OCT 18, 2014
650mL: pours hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, musty, citrus. Taste is equally balanced with bitter and sweet. Flavors of Belgian yeast, mango, clove, and slightly grassy. Lots of flavors slightly more sweet than other saisons I have tried. Smooth, easy to drink, good mouthful. Fun beer, very strong. raradel (343) - Atlanti Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 12, 2014
Great nose and palate. Smells and taste like an IPA more than a Saison. Bitter and floral, very frothy, solid. jefcon (1853) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Very active white head rises from the glass. Aromatics of lemon, thyme, fresh pit fruit, and a little bit of pine. Fresh-tasting, with a medium finish and a bit sticky mouthfeel. Not too reminiscent of a saison. JDBaker11058 (2206) - Maryland, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Appearance: clear bright gold into a chalice; huge, thick, frothy bright white head, with giant swathes of lace and hyperactive carbonation jets--it’s a pretty beer. Aroma: strong nose of kaffir lime, lemon zest, tangerine, apricot, with an undertone of light cracker, pie crust, and a hint of funk. Taste: hugely bitter, with muddled and musty hops overpowering all other flavors; it’s a mess, but I’m getting lime, pineapple, some pine, pickle juice (!?) and a lot of dust. Finish: lingering bitter must that dries my mouth to an insane degree. Notes: Wow. Looked so pretty to start with, and smelled ok, but it’s like someone took a basic saison and indescriminately dumped bag after bag of homebrewer’s hops into it with no rhyme or reason. I despised this beer.
