Bottle. Medium bodied with a nice grass element to it. Quite a banger in the spice department, fills out the flavors well. Peppery almost, if you will. Hints of lemon hops in there as well. Good tasty brew, not outstanding. khays (89) - - APR 27, 2014
Smells estery, yeasty and fruity (raspberry and pear notes) and there is a very slight metallic smell. Pours a golden colour, looks highly carbonated and clear. White finger width head.
Complex flavour, sweet and bitter, like grapefruit peel, hints of raspberry, strawberry, spices, grass and pear. Lack the funk that is usually present with saisons.
Medium body, sweet to begin with, creamy in the middle, a bit bitter near the end and slightly astringent to finish.
Perhaps this is a little too refined for a saison, no haze, clear taste, no funk and really amazing flavour. The bitter finish leaves you feel like you just are grapefruit peel, which is all. Would fault this beer for. bytemesis (9232) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Bottle - thanks glkaiser. Full disclosure - I am not a big Pike fan, so I was a bit predisposed to not like this one perhaps. Pour hazy amber, small white head, great lacing. Aroma is yeasty, grass, lemon grass, black pepper, grain. Flavor is the same, light sweet, zesty bitterness. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Finish is a bit zesty-metallic, but otherwise this ain’t bad! nuplastikk (6453) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2013
500ml bottle. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Soapy, steady, respectable off-white head. A really nice, pronounced aroma, very Belgian. An interesting, potent mixture of Belgian yeast and hops. I’m generally pretty critical of US Saisons, and while this one isn’t in the Dupont vein, it has that bolder robust fruity/spiciness, this is quite solid. The extra hops are nice, and make it sort of reminiscent of Belgian IPA. Has a very nice amped up dry noble hop character. Funky and unique, would be a fun beer to revisit. Appearnace was clear orange gold with diminishing rocky white 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are sweet pils, wheat malts with slight pineapple and orange hops and tart yeasts. Taste are slight sweet malt backing with hop of lemon, pineapple, then bready mild yeasts thing going on. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with medium body, mild tarty medinical fruity lasting finish. The brew was solid until the finish, bad bottle maybe with zingy finish.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy golden with a foamy off-white head and a fruit and yeast aroma. There is a funky fruit and caramel malt flavor with a huge yeast presence and a bitter finish. Very barnyard. metalhead0043 (342) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 27, 2013
22 oz for 3 bucks. Pours hazy orange with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is grassy, wheat, spice and a little lemony zest. Taste is similar up front with a smooth bitterness on the end. Body is a little above medium, average carbonation, creamy texture. Quite a nice beer. One of the better saisons I have tried, and a very good value at that price. Clear yellow pour with massive white billowy head. Very Floral and and earthyhops. Not peppery. More perfumy. Interesting. Cheap. And quaffable. DialSquare (5130) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 20, 2013
From an old note (bottle shared up at Proof): belgian saison vibe with good bitter ipa backing it up. Well balanced. Wheat, lemon, biscuit, grass 7.6
