22oz bottle. Hazy, cloudy, golden color. Aroma of PNW hops, green hops, loads of grapefruit zest. Sharp hops taste, grapefruit bitterness, no sweetness, very dry. Over carbonated, over fermented, maybe is why it’s so dry. (3916) Cybercat (5893) - Georgia, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a very thick and rather persistent fluffy eggshell head that pillows nicely. Aroma is more fruity than hoppy - largely apple and pear, but with an underpinning of Mandarin orange. Hoppy flavor has a nice fruity undertone, and here the citrus dominates the pomme. Texture is firm, smooth and fairly fizzy, leaving a nice hoppy finish.
Not to be confused with Space Needle 2012 Anniversary Vintage IPA. otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Slightly cloudy blood orange hue under a pithy white head that slowly fades into a solid blanket with lots of lace marking the sides of my glass.

Lots of grapefruit – white, pink, red – zesty and sweet and just a little tart. Mint and pine in the back and along the edges.
One sip and an ocean of grapefruit and pine washes across my tastebuds and down my throat. The finish lingers with bitter grapefruit peel and pith. Oak and cedar notes in the front – rustic and spiced. Honeyed grains underneath.
Not exactly a complex IPA but intense, rich, and very balanced which made for a very pleasant quaffing session. Hopefully Pike will brew this beer again because it deserves to be at least a regular seasonal offering. Delicious.
Bottle to glass. Pours a murky orangish-amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is spicy fruity citrusy hops with a mild fruity sweetness. Flavor is a nice fleshy fruit hops with a mild citrus and malty sweetness. Light to medium in body with an oily character. Lingering fruity bitterness in the finish. Solid, but nothing extraordinary. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruits, apple skins, bready malt. Flavor also heavy on the fruits, especially apple, with pale malts and bitter hops in the finish. Tasty beer, but really more of a pale ale than IPA.

Pilsner malts on the nose. Taste is pretty plain. Minor Vienna qualities with Munich malts almost no bitterness or at least it’s blended in well. I can’t believe this one is 58 ibus ryanfolty (2579) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Had on tap while at the top of the Space Needle. Orange pour with head and lacing. Citrus hop and malt aroma. Taste was a combination of citrus and piney hops. Relatively clean finish, medium body and some carbonation. Having a beer with a view of the city at almost 600 feet is quite the experience. Pours deep gold with a huge white head. Aroma is spicy pine. Taste is heavy bitter pine up front followed by a light syrup mid palate and a gritty malty bitter finish. If you love bitter IPA’s, you will love this one. Nothing about this beer is timid and amazingly it’s already a year old (2012). chriso (7569) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2013
22oz bomber bottle, no best before date, at tasting on 18 November 2012. Thanks to Theydon_Bois for sharing. Mid gold colour. Slight haze. Much as expected from a PNW IPA, but none the worse for that. Pine and resin, backed up by grapefruit in the aroma and flavour. More bitter than the relatively modest IBU count would suggest. Good hoppy stuff.

September 2012. On tap at the Space Needle. Amber color with a large white head. Plenty of hops throughout. Floral aromas with citrus and pine. Bitter finish. Very, very good.
