On tap, poured a deep brown hue w/ medium head diminishing to a ring and minor lacing. Moderate roasty and chocolate aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are dark chocolate and tea tannins. Medium bodied.

Tap from the brewery. Clear dark reddish brown with a small, foamy, tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit and light coffee. Flavor is the same. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy with a dry end. RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2012
On tap at the Brewery on 3/17/12. Color is an almost black brown with mellow carbonation and a thin tight head. Aroma is a smoky roasted malt scent. It has a medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor of deep roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee, ending with a sharp bitterness. After taste is dry with a lingering bitterness. Overall its good, but still just a basic stout. 3fourths (9347) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2012
draft. starchy, husky and rough texture throughout with burnt char / soil / firewood malt. astringent and scorching huskiness. poorly made, underattenuated, sloppy use of yeast gives it an unpalatable and unclean ester profile. god this brewery sucks.
