Draft pour into a pint glass. Deep near black pour, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Taste is huge on bittersweet chocolate. Bit of dark roasted espresso. On tap at the brewery. Brown/black appearance with minimal head. Aroma of roasted malts, bitter chocolate, coffee and earthy hops. Similar flavor, rich, roasty, earthy and mildly bitter. Average body with a smooth feel. I like.

Clear black with a persistent thin beige head. Aroma of toasted chocolate and un-greasy pepperoni with a bit of toffee. Flavor is nice and chocolaty with roastiness and a bit of smokey meat (not quite the sausage or pepperoni flavors of smokier ales), and a dry cocoa finish with a slight touch of bitterness. On tap at the brewery poured a dark brown hue w/ small tan quickly & fully diminishing head and no lacing. Mild aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, and roasted coffee. Initial flavor is a light sweet with a light bitter finish. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, dark chocolate, and a nice roast level. Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, nice chocolate, oatmeal, some roast, coffee notes mix with slight spice, pretty nice smelling. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee and sweet milk chocolate quickly followed by dark chocolate, roast, nice espresso and bitter grain, finishing fairly bitter and dry. Nicely done.
