Draft pour into a pint glass. Deep near black pour, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Taste is huge on bittersweet chocolate. Bit of dark roasted espresso. But the chocolate really is overwhelming. Like eating a handful of chocolate chips, which is a bit much. ajnepple (7342) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - MAY 3, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Brown/black appearance with minimal head. Aroma of roasted malts, bitter chocolate, coffee and earthy hops. Similar flavor, rich, roasty, earthy and mildly bitter. Average body with a smooth feel. I like.

Clear black with a persistent thin beige head. Aroma of toasted chocolate and un-greasy pepperoni with a bit of toffee. Flavor is nice and chocolaty with roastiness and a bit of smokey meat (not quite the sausage or pepperoni flavors of smokier ales), and a dry cocoa finish with a slight touch of bitterness. Medium-full bodied and a little by-the-books for a medium strength stout. Has a certain dark malty doughiness about it. Concealer (1278) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2013
