Not to light, not too dark. Love the flavor. Don't drink it that much, which is why I wont get sick of it. Being the first rating i've made here, i'm not sure what else to say. if you haven't tried it...try it Ribman (13) - Colorado, USA - APR 20, 2012
I had one of these at an open air restaurant in a Peruvian border town. It was a 20 oz bomber served very cold in a chilled glass. It was a great complement to the food. For a South American beer it was quite good. seuinoz (260) - Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2002

I found this beer surprisingly good... I was expecting just another Latin American weak lager, but Pils Callao had decent body, a pleasing raste, and a sweet finish. Heck, I like it! Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 17, 2015
Had in a bottle in Peru...a few times. This beer is readily available in Peru. I am impressed that with all of the offerings I have had that came from a green bottle, none were skunked. Macro lager type beer. Nothing overly complex or interesting, but really refreshing, easy drinking, and pairs well with a beach and ceviche in Paracas.
