350ml bottle. reasonably common in CR but far behind imperial.
had a few of these in bottles and a can or two. aroma is very weak of hops. hard pushed to smell anything else. taste... very fizzy - more so than imperial. very thin in the mouth and rather watery. mixed with rice and malts according to the description but i didn’t notice this. 12 ounce can purchased at the candy shoppe at DoubleTree Puntarenas Resort. Aroma has corn, boiled vegetables, and stinky socks present. Light chlorine/swimming pool, too. Transparent pale yellow body with a small, weak, quickly dissipating white head present. Starts a little sweet, before becoming a little malty and milky. Light corny DMS in the middle. Finishes with a bit of cereal graininess. Eh, ok. cactus_james (3) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 26, 2013 does not count
Tired in Costa Rica, Puerto Viejo. Purchased at Supermercado Diamante, 1 liter bottle for 1,450 colones (= $2.90). Brewery: Costa Rica. Beer: Pilsen. ABV: 5.1%. Colour: medium light gold. Head: short. Aroma: faintly sweet. Taste: mildly sweet and faintly hoppy. Summary: tastes like a simple and cheap American Lager, maybe also a Pilsner, mildly refreshing but no character. It’s better than Imperial (who apparently spend money on massive advertising rather than quality production). Kita (2300) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAY 24, 2013
Canned, 0.35l. Clear deep golden color with small frothy white head and average visible carbonation. Aroma is grassy, malt is weak, unfortunatelly some skunky smell is present, too. Taste starts with fresh malt, softened by adjuncts, then followed with grassy undertones. Although plain, some malt spiciness is felt in the mouthfeel, while finish is mildly bitter. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Same as others Tico beers, nothing special...

Color amarillo, ligeramente palido para una pilsen, espuma poco duradera, buena carbonatación. Amargo con intensidad media y buena calidad. Sabor a malta, ligeramente dulce, aroma a lupulo. Lata y botella en mercado y retaurantes en Costa Rica. BrewMoose (88) - Florida, USA - APR 28, 2013
12oz bottle. Drinking out of the bottle. Nice malt flavor backed up by just enough bitterness. Finishes nice and dry. Lawn mower beer.

Slightly better than Imperial (also from my country), I’d rather drink almost anything than an Imperial, that’s why I would prefer a Pilsen instead... still not a very good beer. reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 17, 2013
350ml can brought back by my co-worker, who went back recently to visit his homeland. Pours a golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is typical for the style with grass and grains. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with some light underlying sweetness and a bit of a funky aftertaste. Light bodied with decent carbonation. Nothing special, just another uninteresting macro lager brw.
