Bottle. Has a flavor like Budwieser, though a little lighter. Definitely taste the rice presence. beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - OCT 1, 2012
350 ml bottle.
Pours a pale yellow with a half-inch white head that stays for about 2 minutes. Crystal clear with small bubbles.
Smell of adjuncts (corn) with a little bit of hops. Not very attractive.
Tastes exactly as it smells - cooked corn with a slight touch of hops in the finish. Light bodied and watery.
Mouthfeel is not very pleasant. Bubbles bite in the front, hops hardly balancing the grain (and corn). Beer is drinkable though despite the low scoring.

The pour: quite heady and effervescent. A very light straw in colour. The aroma: very feint, some sugary malts, possibly apple and a bit of barley. The taste: thin mouth feel, slightly bitter, quite a flat taste. The verdict: Costa Rica’s 2nd place beer. I haven’t really seen any Ticos drinking this. Nothing particularly good can be found in this beer. Oscbert (1319) - Lincoln, California, USA - SEP 9, 2012
~Pils malt aroma, slight sulfur, light spicy hops.
~Pours very light pale yellow color with lasting white rocky head.
~Light pilsner malt flavor with light spicy hops.
~light body, med high CO2, quick crisp finish.
~Run of the mill non offensive pale lager. Is what is. Hot summer day beer. johnnnniee (4403) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 23, 2012
12 oz can brought back by a good friend from his trip to Costa Rica, Thanks for the opportunity Rob!
Pours a solid golden yellow with a smallish white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of sweet pilsner malt with hints of grain honey and enough hops to keep it from cloying. Sweet rich grainy malt with a slight floral hop flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slightly sweet mouthfeel. I liked this best of the three beers we sampled at our impromptu Central America lager fest. Decent beer for the style but could have really used some more hops.

This beer is ok. It is one of the beers you can get everywhere in Costa Rica. I would say it is like Bud back home. If you want cheap and easy to drink Pilsen all the way. JulienHuxley (5909) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 18, 2012
Can. Clear yellow pour, fizzy white head. Aroma of subtle corn, no hops. Taste is fine, nothing wrong but nothing worth mentionning either, slightly grainy, dry, very light hop presence. Palate is light and super carbed. Refreshing and not bad. Costa Rica tick! monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Ok for a domestic. A little but more of an edge then imperial, Costa Ricas other beer. Smells slightly nicer then average. Look is pee yellow. A little stronger then imperial. Drinkable.

Cans in Costa Rica. Miller-lightish, mildly offensive. Costa Rica is not a place for beer drinkers.
