I 100% agree to what caribou43 wrote. The lack of alternatives makes this the beer to go with in Ecuador, fair enough as a refresher on a hot day, but sure no comparison to a real good beer on a global level. anstei (2744) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - AUG 7, 2017
Bottle. Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma is vegetables, corn, DMS. Body is light but sweet, with a low carbonation. No notable flavours. Thin but sweet palate. Meh. caribou43 (1246) - Lausanne, SWITZERLAND - APR 9, 2017
When I travelled in Ecuador, it is the beer that you find everywhere. It is sadly the same story that you find in South America and others countries: globalisation. This beer was bought by a big group and they spend millions of dolars in advertising with stupid women or pastic girls to sell finally a bad product. The people there like in Peru have weak salaries and they prefer to drink these kind of standard and tricatel euro lagers. In the 99% of the places you just find these macrobreweries and you don’t have the choice. This one is typical, boring and one standard lager, some malt, watery, few hop, metalic, yellow and gold color, thin and white foam, ok with a ceviche con aji.

Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours clear yellow with a white cream heading. The noseh olds paper and dry, crispy cereal. Light to medium sweet flavour with some white bread, simple white sugar, cereal. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more sugary white bread, minimal bitterness. So so, even by cheap pale lager standards. mR_fr0g (14024) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2016
Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 2 07/08/2016. Thanks to Colin for this one. A very pale yellow coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is light cereal, green apple, adjunct. Flavour is composed of stale grains, oxidised, honey, grassy. Palate is very light, mineral, moderate carbonation, cardboard. Bad. Bottle shared at Chriso’s grand pre GBBF tasting 2016, thanks to Theydon Bois for supplying this. Pours clear gold with a thin white head, aroma of malt, grass and bread, taste starts with a little grass and then moves into thin, malty bread. Another pale lager. Hurrah! August 2016 - Bottle share at Chriso’s Sunday Shindig. Thanks! Simply called ’Pilsener’, brewed at CNE, Ecuador. Pale yellow, clear, lightly sparkling, foamy off-white head. Aroma is corny, buttery. Body is light, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is thin malt, buttered corn, watery, touch of mint. Pretty much the same basic pale lager you can find in any country in the world. Drinkable enough. Chris and Ruth’s Shindig 2016, Sunday. Clear pale golden beer with almost no head. Fruity bready aroma, citrus, grapes, some paper. Same flavor, really thin.
