ugh, this one was everywhere for the entirety of my six week trip. Bland, watery, sour grains and funk. Tasted good in the sweaty jungle but that was about it. jlcr666 (1) - ECUADOR - JUL 4, 2012 does not count

Delicious and very tasty. I have never tried a beer pilsen type like pilsener from Ecuador. I found it delicious! Rotbart (155) - - MAY 27, 2012
An average lager with some carbonation and a modest hoppy finish. Tasted nice on a hot afternoon. Ktwse (4783) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2012
A very bland lager, sadly ubiquitous in Ecuador. The other main brand, Club, is slightly better but not as common. Still, after a week of only this, you get somewhat used to it... And in it’s defense, it’s no worse than many US or European bland lagers.

You"ll find this beer all over the country. No aroma at all, water with a little bit of bitterness, but it doesn’t seem hops are involved. Awful beer. Months ago I discovered is made with 50% rice.....Don’t try the canned one, taste worst. BVery (10297) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 6, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle straight from South America - courtesy of my friend Ashley. Clear lighter golden pour with an initial foamy white head that faded to a ring. Corn adjunct nose and taste, with some mild hop elements. Not bad for a pale lager - more character than BMC. janubio (841) - SPAIN - DEC 7, 2011
600 ml. collectors bottle, football edtion, broguht from mt friends from a Tripo to Ecuador.. Pale golden colour, thin head with no retention or lace. Smell pure and simply doesn’t exist. Light body, in fact it’s like water with some gas. Taste? Some grains and nothing more to add. Don’t waste your time.

Bottle 33cl. Blonde with white head. Corny aroma. Taste to... nothing and palate to... (I don’t know). Watery, I think that this beer is water plus CO2. turbothy (1141) - Bonn, GERMANY - SEP 26, 2011
Pours clear straw yellow with a quite active white head. Cardboard aroma, cardboard flavour - standard macro lager.
