UPDATED: FEB 15, 2018 I tried this as a commercial version at the pub close to the brewery museum in Pilzen. I also tried it during the tour in the basement of the brewery, straight from a barrel.bishopspeking (3) - Norrköping, SWEDEN - SEP 18, 2007 does not count
Tried it at two different occasions, both at Na Parkanu and in the tunnels at both visits.
Pretty special and a nice extra touch to this very special and great beer. It’s even better when tasted unfiltered.
Nice cloudy yellow color, big fluffy frothy white head. Herbal hoppy fresh scent. Also hoppy herbal taste. Medium high bitterness. Amazing full fresh mouthfeel. Summery aftertaste.
At Na Parkanu on June 26, 2008: 8/4/8/4/16=4.0
At the cellars having about 2 liters :) - Same rating as before: 8/5/9/5/19, just an amazingly nice pils.
From Na Parkanu: Fruity hoppy taste. Fresh fruity hoppy scent. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. Shady orange color. Creamy white head.
Yet again I took the tour of the Pilsner Urquell BRewery, yet again I longed for that pilsner from the cellar, yet again I left with a smile on my face, wanting more!
On August 1, 2017.
Hazy golden color, large lasting off-white head with lacing. Sweet, malty, herbal scent. Herbal, crips, malty, bitter taste. Herbal, bitter aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. I can drink this all the time and be happy, fantastic it is!
The full score goes to the beer from the cellar only, the top notch one. Others are awesome too, but the one you get after the tour is simply to die for.
Had this plenty of more times, both during the brewery tour, but also the version selling as "unfiltered" in some bars on tap these days. Just a great beer that I can keep drinking over and over.
Vive la Pilsner Urquell! The best golden beer to drink in the whole wide world. andrewboss (137) - New York, USA - SEP 19, 2007
It’s just a shame that this beer cannot be released for sale. It’s just as good as it gets. huggies (1) - , HUNGARY - JUL 8, 2009 does not count
Unfiltered, unpasteurized from the tap in Pilzen at Na Parkanu...lost for words. troopie (2560) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAR 17, 2012
Draught from a keg from the Czech Republic. This is the only beer my wife will drink, she buys it from an importer who gets it from Plzen. After a carboy I can see why. Notes of grass, hay and grape. Big bodied for such a light seeming beer. Perfectly balanced, in the malt and hops. To quote her again. "This is the best beer in the world, why should I drink anything less." Wonderful finish. A good reason to retire to Plzen
(Actually she also drinks the tinned tankovna Pilsner Urquell, but nothing else".)

The first, so for me its still the best. Her Josef Groll really made the difference adding Saas hops. ristop (1) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 11, 2012 does not count
It is well worth while to travel to Plzen just to have this beer. It is ingredibly wide spectrum taste with butterscotch, chocolate, floral, and herbs. The triple hop bitterness is hidden but comes alive in the after taste. djoeye (5542) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUL 30, 2015

You’ll have to get this only in Plzen CZ: Look; mafioso off white tight standing head, hazy strawy gold-golden body, crocheted small curtains everywhere inside the mug.
Aroma; bread, straw, hops, grains, malts - clean straightforward perfect start. Taste; mafioso malts, leafy hops, bread, butter, meadow spices, sweet butterscotch. Finishes softly blended 2/3 malts and 1/3 fine fresh hops, OMG !. Feels well balanced, clean, just a little oily, but also the tiny oil contains the finest malts. Overall probably the best beer ever. Best pils in the world, pitty that there’s never any bottled version. [50cl in a clear mug, apx4.4%abv, [email protected]

The best overall beer in the world, well they started 1842, so they have had a long time to adjust the recepi and process. Atom (2626) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 17, 2016
On tap at Keegans, I don?t think I?ve been more excited for a beer. Pours a slightly Hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Deep grain malt aroma with bright grassy hops. Complex grain malt bill taste, snappy bitter Saaz hops meeting more earthy oaty grain. It?s like putting a handful of grains in my mouth. Complex yet simple, extremely drinkable. Perfect.
