COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dense black beard, brilliant plumage, reverberating gobble--Old Tom is notorious for haunting the Ozark hills. Hes a prize gobbler with the wisdom to stay just out of reach. Our handcrafted porter is also memorable, but its one Old Tom that wont get away. Color 21.2 SRM

RBESG 2016 in Barcelona, Grand Tasting. Dark brown colour. Dryish roasty aroma. Roasty dry flavour. A "thirteen in a dozen" porter. One-dimensional.

9th July 2016: can at the RBESG, traded from Greg Wilson, via me. Light haze to the deep amber/brown body, on top a beige crown. The nose and taste both had a caramel, coffee and chocolate leaning but this was not a sweet brew, it had a some dry bitterness throughout, especially in the finish.

Can from Greg (gregwilsonstl) -- cheers! This was so carbonated that it foamed over the top of the pint glass I poured it into, even with 2/3rds of the beer still left in the can. Disappointing -- once I finally got through the foam it was super-watery, super-thin, and super-forgettable.

Can. Brown. Thick off white head. Some cola. Caramel. Pretty simple. Nothing fancy, but nice drinkable porter.

Pour is an almost black with a small tan head. Aroms is a nice roasted malt with a little black licorice in there. Flavor is a nice roasted malt with a decent char and ash which drys the mouth out after the swalllow. No sweet sugary malts here this is all about what can be done with a simple malt after the kiln. This is a nice dry and flavorful porter.

16 oz can poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, coffee and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, light earthiness and a hint of coffee with a smooth lingering bakers cocoa finish.
