COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dense black beard, brilliant plumage, reverberating gobble--Old Tom is notorious for haunting the Ozark hills. He’s a prize gobbler with the wisdom to stay just out of reach. Our handcrafted porter is also memorable, but it’s one Old Tom that won’t get away. Color 21.2 SRM

Can from a friend. Pours clear copper with a thick beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toast and roast. Malt and chocolate flavor with caramel accents before a roasty finish.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2017 A good porter, but nothing over the top unique about it. Nice roasted flavors and good, thick mouthfeel. However, the hops and roast can be a little overwhelming after a while. Even so, one of my go-to beers from an amazing local brewery.

Sampled at Boulevardia 2017. Comes dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and some caramel. Somewhat thin, somewhat dry, but very drinkable.

RBESG 2016 in Barcelona, Grand Tasting. Dark brown colour. Dryish roasty aroma. Roasty dry flavour. A "thirteen in a dozen" porter. One-dimensional.

9th July 2016: can at the RBESG, traded from Greg Wilson, via me. Light haze to the deep amber/brown body, on top a beige crown. The nose and taste both had a caramel, coffee and chocolate leaning but this was not a sweet brew, it had a some dry bitterness throughout, especially in the finish.

Can at RBESG16 thanks to BlackHaddock. Slight hazy dark amber, with dark beige head. Sweet chocolate, light coffee, sweet brown sugar, brown malts. Over medium sweet and very light bitterness. Medium bodied.

Can from Greg (gregwilsonstl) -- cheers! This was so carbonated that it foamed over the top of the pint glass I poured it into, even with 2/3rds of the beer still left in the can. Disappointing -- once I finally got through the foam it was super-watery, super-thin, and super-forgettable.

Sampler pours black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, toffee and chocolate. Taste is pretty much the same, nice beer.
