On draft at Pinglehead. This is the one that surprised me. Pours a hazy porter brown with a tan head. Nose is some light roast, some mild chocolate, and some earthy peppers. Flavor is similar with roasted malts, some mild chocolate, and some earthy peppers that turn into a polite burn. Medium in body and a nicely adjusted beer. Tap at Brewer’s Pizza for RBWG. Black pour, giant head. Nose is roasty chocolate aroma with muted chili pepper spice. Taste is bitter dark chocolate with the sharper peppers. Lots of complimentary flavors that go together quite well. Mouthfeel was really nice, silky. Much more drinkable than you expect.

Aroma: Roasted malts and mild peppers
Taste: Roasted malts, chocolate with mild peppers in the finish
Pours an opaque brownish black with thin tan head and light lacing. Aroma is piney resinous hops, toasted dark barley, roasted malts, and a hint of peppery spice at the end. Tap at Brewer’s Pizza for RBWG. Pours a muddier brown with massive dark foam. Nose is dark cherries, Whoppers. Taste is silkier than the normal version, very tolerable chili pepper heat...no way overpowering. Just the right amount of spicy chocolate kick in the face. Really nice palate. A winner.
