Nice roasted nutty aroma. Inky pour. Liked this. Sweet, roasted, cocoa notes, not bitter, milky. Viscous. No great complexity, but it fires on all cylinders. On tap, Proof Production Facility. PorterPounder (8170) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 31, 2015
Tallahassee, Fl - Proof Production Facility - on tap. Viscous, inky black pour, light, but persistent webby off-white head. Aroma has some nice bittersweet chocolate accents, a touch of espresso. Flavor has some light berry-like fruitiness floating about around the strong chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel has a nice rich thickness to it. Best of the evening at Proof. UPDATED: AUG 15, 2013 Draft... RBWG 2013… Pours black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. The nose is a malty, roasty combination of dark chocolate and burnt black malts. Full-bodied and creamy with busy carbonation. The flavor offers fudge, dark chocolate mocha, charcoal and a shot of sweetened espresso. Finishes lightly bitter and singed. shadey (2142) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 19, 2013
On tap at Brewer’s Pizza/Pinglehead Brewery. Black pour with minimal head. Aroma is strong chocolaty porter with some mild roast. Substantial body and gentle hops bitterness makes for a really nice experience. The brewer is talented as he managed to achieve a high alcohol beer that is smooth and easy to drink with plenty of subtlety and a nice full body. jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAY 29, 2013
