COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first creation came out exceptionally well. Hints of chocolate malts in the nose, roasted coffee presence on the pallet and an enjoyable smooth finish relative for the style.

Tap at the brewpub, RBWG 2013. Pours black-brown with a light, tan cream head. Nice if mellow roasted malt nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, plenty of ashy roast now, bitter cocoa. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Modest bitter, earthy finish, charred wood, ash. Good one.

On tap at the brewpub. Coffee that is well integrated. Black, very lacey, almost nitro in character with its creaminess.

hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 5, 2014
Draft... Pours murky and abysmally black with a mid-sized, creamy, khaki head. Great retention. The aroma is that of cafe con leche and mocha. Medium bodied with a dry mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is unexpectedly burnt, bitter and carbonic. Coarse, dry finish.

Tap at Brewer’s Pizza for RBWG. Pours a clear, deeper cola. Decent beige foam. Nose is green/gamey coffee, animal, goat, caramel. Taste is coffee, earth, peppercorn, spice. Thin, tart, lemon acidic body. Sessionable, light, decent. Feels like 4%.

b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Draft to taster at Pinglehead. Looks good; an opaque black with light beige lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt and roast with an average mouthfeel. Solid.

drowland (8939) - Georgia, USA - OCT 10, 2012
10/10/12. On tap at the brewery. Dark black pour with a small khaki head and lots of lacing. Huge roast aroma, some coffee, dark chocolate, and even some milk chocolate aspects. Rich roasted malt flavor, maybe a touch much, with a hint of acidic sourness, and lingering dark and milk chocolate with a hint of cream. Not bad!

and you call me crazy?? .. . deep brown .. . mild foam .. . cheap coffee, roast, and ashy grains .. . pretty nice little beer .. . he acted as if he had been betrayed by the trail. It wasn’t, I guess, what he had expected.

decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - SEP 17, 2011
Brown/black pour with a dark tan head and lace. Aroma of lightly sour malt a hinto chocolate, and toastiness. Toasted malt, grainy dry malt flavor and a nice malt bitter. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Nice beer
