On tap at the brewpub. Very dark beer with a foamy tan head that left an attractive lace on the glass. Big roasty grain and chocolate nose. On draft at Dahlia’s, poured a dark black color, huge aromas of roast, coffee, ash, and some earth. Flavors of chocolate, roasted malt, light oats, and some ash in the aftertaste. A very nice stout over all.

10/10/12. On tap at the brewery. Dark black pour with a small khaki head and lots of lacing. Huge roast aroma, some coffee, dark chocolate, and even some milk chocolate aspects. Rich roasted malt flavor, maybe a touch much, with a hint of acidic sourness, and lingering dark and milk chocolate with a hint of cream. Not bad!
