Aroma is metallic, caramel, toffee, sweet. Appearance is golden amber, off white head, hazy. Taste is wheat, metallic, caramel, toffee, light, off. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, wheat metallic aftertaste. Overall, way way off for this style. Plain and boring.

A bottle from the so-called ’Pinkus German Restaurant’ on Keelung Road, drunk at home. Aroma: wheaty, bready. Appearance: clear, light amber, minimal head. Palate: medium body, rather thin. Soft carbonation, bitter at the finish but doesn’t last. Taste: lightly bitter, I detect a sour note. A nice change from the local beer, but lacks punch.

Bottle 0.33l at Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016 Evergem, Belgium. 03.09.2016. Thanks Klaas for hosting and RB guys for sharing today’s beers. Pour it hazy golden color with small white head. Aroma only spices. Taste sweet crispy, some herbal feel, something is missing, cereal, pinch floral, light body, thin feel, average carbonation.

Light mash malt and some resin. Not very great. Hazy golden pour with ok head and lacing. Light tangy finish with some metallic aftertaste. Bottle.

plaugher (491) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 16, 2016
500ml bottle. Pours straw yellow-golden with soapy white head and moderate lacing. Nose is grassy, a bit of corn, a bit of apple; short sweetness and grassy notes with abrupt bitter finish. A bit metallic, really quite thin on the palate.

0,5 l Flasche. Hellgelbes, leicht trübes Bier. Duftet stark nach Himbeere, Geschmack dann aber durchschnittlich und ohne jede Besonderheit.

330ml bottle - thanks Marduk!
Corny aroma, some acidic husky grains. Watery palate, a bit flat. Light grains in the taste, plentyhusky, but harshly hopped, a bit acidic. Rough, harsh, more and more acidic. Corny and bitter hoppy finish. Not the normal eco probs, but other probs instead.

Marduk (8207) - Reval, ESTONIA - SEP 9, 2016
330ml bottle as "Pinkus Original". Clear pale yellow color. Medium size, thick white head, stays. Malty, some acidic hops, some grains in aroma. Grainy, acidic hops, herbal in taste. Sourish grains and herbal hops in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. I like the hop thing. But this ain’t altbier. No way.
