50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, BBE 21.03.2013
Aroma is smoky with some grain and tar. Exactly like schlenkerla Märzen! Flavour is somewhat sweet and feels a bit artifical. It has smoke, metal, some tar and licorice. This has a element I find hard to describe. But at least I can say the element is polish/czech and at least some polish porters have this feeling.

Brown body, small foamy head. Aroma is smoked (thanks to Weyermann malts). Taste is bacon, wood. Medium carbonation, low to medium body. Nice brew!

Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - AUG 10, 2012
50cl bottle. Dark brown with small head. Nose : sweet caramel smell with smoked notes. Burned toast. Some floral notes. Sip : Water like body and texture. Quite dry coffee start, strong smoked aromas, short finish. After couple of sips the sweetness prevail. Overall It’s a nice experiment in my mouth but it doesn’t last long.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle at Male Piwo, Warsaw. The head is wrong, cola fizz that fades fast, but the color is deep. Aroma of smoked toffee, thin palate but solid flavors that could use some more malt sugar development ( the sugars are simple) and more body; but otherwise fun and smartly smoked.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2012 0.5 bottle. Obvious aroma of smoked malts, dark bread scents with slight coffee additions, slightly sweet with caramelly notes. The liquid is of very dark brown color, slightly reddish hue makes it resemble a cola, everything topped with an off-white. medium-sized creamy head of very satysfying retention. Bittersweet, elaborate, smoky taste, creates a sensation of burned wood with a lot of smoke. Body is disappointingly light and texture thin. Carbonation is rather average, quite fizzy around the tongue. Finish is short-lived and rather tasteless, however it leaves a nice smoky sensation in throat and solely rescues the palate. Overall the beer is rather mediocre, starts off quite nicely with smoky, but pleasant and uninsistent, complex aroma and taste, it is greatly spoiled by wateriness and thin texture. Unused potential.

Bottle, Małe Piwo. Medium brown. Rich, woody smoke aroma. Soft smoke, about Spezial Märzen level, and some lightly caramelly, toasty malts. There us a strong woody note to the smoke, relative to either Schlenkerla or Weyermann, and I appreciate that distinctiveness.

ElDesmadre (4446) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUN 22, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown with a creamy yet not really lasting head. Aroma is caramel malt, only lightly smoked, in the woody bonfire way, so no ham and bacon in here. Taste is light and soft, palate is bordering on watery, some plum and chocolate notes in the light bitter finish. Tastes like a smoked beer for newbies, it’s good drinking though I’m rather unimpressed. Not enough smoke in here and no complexity to even that out.

Czik (22) - Siedlce, POLAND - JUN 10, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2012 Bottle. Colour is brown (like amber with a smoked quality to it). Taste is obviously smokey, with some hops coming through tho, and a good malty palate. The maltiness mixed with the smoke creates a pleasant taste that makes me think of sourdough rye bread crust. Greatly drinkable, goes down suprisingly fast and with a lot of pleasure. Definitely worth having.
