Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 10, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to creamy. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, sweet dark malt. Flavor is heavy to moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee bean bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Black, lasting dark beige head. Decent yeast and roasty aroma. As an FES really good, true to style. Lovely bitter edge, touch of puckering acidity. I liked it, one of the beers of the festival for me. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - SEP 1, 2010
Cask at GBBF 2010, 4th Aug 2010. Pitch black with a tan head. Nose of dark fruits, caramel, molasses and alcohol. Perfectly smooth palate with a deep, lingering dryness. Lovely roasted taste, good notes of burnt toast and bitter dark chocolate. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2010
Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 03/08/2010
Coffee roast aroma. Black fruity strong in alcohol and hoppy with a hint of bitterness in a coffee roast finish. My best of festival over the 5 days!

Quite much pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, roasted coffee, some chocolate and mild ashes and caramel malts. Also some mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is very much coffee, roast, chocolate and caramel malts. A very pleasant stout.

Opaque black beer with a little tan head. Lightly sour dark malt - with some contrasting lactose sweetness. Tangy fruit and unsweet dark chocolate. Not bad!
