Collaboration with Tired Hands Brewing Company. This 8% imperial IPA was brewed with fresh lime zest and juice as well as Simcoe and Amarillo hops. A great beer for all things summer.

Enjoyed on tap at the Bad Apple in Chicago, IL. I had this on a warm night and forgot to review, but remember this being extremely good. When I ordered it I was a bit hesitant since the only beer I’ve had containing lime was a Bud Lite Lime, and obviously it wasn’t going to be like that at all, but since it’s a seldom used ingredient I was intrigued to see what Pipeworks would do with it. I throughly enjoyed it, it’s a central component but not overpowering and mixed well with the hop profile. Very good stuff.

Bottle via Omar, thanks! My first actually fresh Pipeworks IPA! GLORY BE, THEY DO MAKE FRESH BOTTLES! Porus a hazy neon orange with a mild white head. Aroma is lime peel, floor cleaner and some booze. Taste is actually rather lime forward. Slight peach in the middle with a nice dank note as well with the lime juice then coming in to finish it off. Wow. Lime IPA for sure.

(old) Bottle... Cloudy deep-golden pour with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma offers spicy, resiny hops and tons of lime. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is modestly bitter and, like the nose, boasts truckloads of lime. Low acidity. Mildly bitter finish. This may have been more enjoyable had I not cellared it for so long, but it also may not have been. There was still plenty of lime essence, but a fresher bottle would have been more bitter. I don’t like "more bitter." F*ck IPAs. Yep... that’s how I roll. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

Cloudy yellow with a decent head. Big salty lime aroma. Zesty, juicy lime flavor. Can’t really taste much else. Not bad.

Pre-DLD bottle share at Hampton Inn. Pour is cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma and falvor of tropical fruit, citrus, lime zest, honey, and herbal notes. Dry and bitter finish.

Bottle. Pour is hazy yellow with lots of floaties and a small white head. Aroma and flavor are bursting with citrus notes of mango, passion fruit, and grapefruit. A nice spicy, crisp finish with a lightly sweet malt note. Lime not overly apparent but citrus dominates for sure. Really nice beer.

Pours a cloudy orange with a fizzy white head. Aroma of citrus and lime. Taste is of bitter grapefruit. Medium mouth feel with medium high carbonation. Definitely has the style of both breweries in one beer.

Bomber via Archer Liquors, Chicago, pours a yellow lime color with a small white head. Nose is fresh lemon line, very fragrant and aromatic. Taste is light and quite citrusy and not all that bitter. Very drinkable ! Finish ends on the same tasting notes with a mild lingering. Delicious ! Quaff Score 8/ 10

Pours a hazy golden with a white head and nice pleasant aroma of lime and fresh hops. Taste is delicious, nice distinct lime notes on the palate with hops, tropical fruits, citrus, and mango notes leading to a dry finish. Nice DIPA with a lot of flavor

A: Pale golden color with a nice head that lingers a bit. S: Some interesting lemon/lime peel notes with some slight pineapple and plastic. T: Upfront a light tart lemon/lime juice that has light minty taste and mouth feel. . Sorachi Ace and lime definitely apparent but are in a nice balance. Could drink this a lot during the summer months. M: Crisp and delightful with a minty mouth feel and feeling on the lips. O: Really enjoy this beer and hope to see them brew this again this summer and enjoy it outside by the pool or something.
