Beautifully thick concoction. Well balanced. Perfect for any Imperial Stout Fan. Even check the batch# with their online catalog to see when it was brewed and bottled. dionysian_son (277) - Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Pours sultry brown with cocoa and bitter nose. Thick and delightful on the tongue with complex smooth and sweet mouthfeel moving to bittersweet chocolate, raisin, brown bread. Finishes with alcohol burn and slight bourbon. Fantastic. CraftBeerLvr41 (82) - Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2014
A: Really dark and black, strong creamy light brown head with nice two finger head. Nice lacing that sticks.
S: First hit of aroma was espresso with some dark chocolate, and figs. Really pleasant smelling. Some alcohol
T: Again begins with the espresso and chocolate then moves to bittersweet cocoa, molasses, and some piney notes. A touch of alcohol at the end.
M: medium to full-bodied with a really nice creaminess that I enjoy.
O: Really nice beer, cant wait to try the fruit variations of this beer. jrman1386 (1) - Illinois, USA - OCT 14, 2012 does not count
Pours a deep brown to black with a milk chocolate head. Roasted coffee on the nose. There’s an initial sweetness, quickly followed by rich chocolate and coffee roasty flavor. The only failing is a slight ash flavor on the finish. Overall a fantastic beer, one of my favorite big stouts I’ve had recently.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a snifter
Pours an dark black with a two fingers of tan head
Excellent retention and significant lacing was present.
The aroma was chocolate, dark fruit, and booze on the nose with hints of caramel and black cherry
It ends the night with dark fruit, chocolate roasted malt.
Very impressive brew and a must for your stout lover in the city!

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99- thanks again, Tom! Batch 100. Pours a dark chocolate brown with a small tan head. Massive chocolate in the aroma, with roasted malts, nuts, and a bit of fresh coffee. Flavor of milk and dark chocolate, caramel, roasted malts, nuts, and coffee. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, rich, chocolaty mouthfeel. So simple and well made. Daniel719 (144) - Safety Harbor, Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Bottle thanks to a random guy at CCB. Poured a nice black color. Immediate aroma of coffee. I even get a little bourbon smell. The taste is small bodied in a good way.b some coffee. Coats the mouth and stays with you. The back end is the best part. Still taste the beer.andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2012

Purchased at Binny’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed with a good friend while bottling some homebrew on a work night before eating dinner at the Southern. This stuff was good, thick, and intense. Appearance is a thick, viscous dark black with a very thin tan/brown head. Aroma is rich in dark chocolate, coffee, along with an apparent hop profile which I think is a rarity in stouts but have smelled this in the other Pipeworks stout I’ve had. Taste is potent and goes down with a moderate bitterness. I thought this stuff was pretty damn good.
