COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abduction in the dead of night, an eerie silence consumes the blackened sky. In an instant, BOOM, a single beam engulfs you. Panic stricken, you flee in no particular direction. It’s of little use, as you’re lifed effortlessly from the safety and comfort of the earth intoa darkness unknown. Resistance is futile. They have you now. Abduction has you now.

22 oz. waxed bomber served in a Deschutes snifter. Batch #41 A: Pours an opaque black color with a two finger tan head forming on the pour. It has great retention throughout the whole glass. It recedes very slowly down to heft cap that leaves sticky and soapy lace down the glass. S: Dark chocolate, some sweet booze and fruity yeast with a nice roasted malt presence as well. Another layer of coffee bean is present giving it another layer. T: Sweet boozy notes with a touch of fruity yeast and some milk chocolate. Great roasted coffee bean with a light toffee malt presence. M: Medium + bodied with a slick and oily mouthfeel. Medium to low carb really gives it that nice stout feel with a touch of dryness on the finish. O: The booze sweet in nature with some slightly fruity yeast, but there is enough complimentary roasted flavors along with an unsweetened chocolate to balance it out. I’d love to see this with a year or two on it and I’m glad I’ve got some for the cellar. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-18-2012

Bottle:   Pours black, small frothy beige head, little lacing.   One roasty nose, subtle hop oils.   Smooth on the tongue, rich, roasty, with moderate hoppiness.   One word comes to mind, solid.   Simple Imperial Stout, but solid.   Could stand to be a bit thicker, but as is its fine.   Finishes roasty, a little acrid with some very minor tart dark pitted fruit notes.   Clean too.   Very nice example.   Notes of chocolate as it warms too!   Thanks Kevin!

Batch 635/636. Poured a dark brown, some haze look to it, bubbly tan head. Aroma of sweet malts, chocolate, black licorice, and clove hints. Flavor followed the nose and blended nice. Maybe a tad sweet, but overall very nice. Full body, thick texture, average carbonation, and some slight booze on the finish.

@ Stordirren 15-11-17: Lite mjölk och choklad i doften. Smaken är trevlig bitter med choklad och kaffe. Ingen sensation men fyllig och stabil stout.
