This was sampled at Dark Lord Day 2014. Pours a rich hazy orange color with a white head. Citrus nose with some light pine, Medium body and a resinous mouth feel. Favor is a lot of bold hops mostly of citrus. Finish is grapefruit, dry, and bitter. Great DIPA. burg326 (5594) - Florida, USA - JAN 6, 2014
Poured an Orange color from the bottle with huge aromas of hops mostly citrus and pine with some light breaddy backbone. Flavors follow suit mostly hops and very nice on the palate. jjgmd (2220) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bomber on New Years Day with Zachary and Brandon, pours a dark hazy orange color. Nose is very deep citrus with resin and pine notes. Taste is sweet citrus and full of flavor and taste. Finish is bitter sweet with a citrus closing. Curtain call ! A great DIPA from a very true microbrewery. Thank you Randy from Archer Liquors, Chicago. First brew of 2014. Pours a cloudy amber orange with a white head and aroma of fresh hops and citrus. Taste is delicious, nice hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit notes with sweet resin, toffee, and caramel with a bitter sweet finish. Great DIPA and another nice entry in their ninja series jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Cider color with whispy, off-white head, fair lacing / Bold nose of caramel, citrus, pine / Medium to full body, very sweet, biting hops, fruity, big bitter finish / Flavors of sharp pine, caramel, orange rind, grapefruit, honey / Seems somewhat out of balance in favor of sweetness and bitterness, but admittedly at tail end of season.

Hazy deep amber beer with a good size off white head. Palate is light and airy with light and fine carbonation. Sweet malt base, touch of caramel and a little malt cream. The Summer hops provides Motueka like creamy floralness and adds hops spice and tropical fruits. From somewhere comes a little candy fruits sweetness. Mild mild aniseed alcohol. Finishes soft and semi dry with a medley of fruits that reminds me of Galaxy hops when they are not assaulting you with their harsh bitterness. Almost like a mouth full of fruits pastilles! Very very drinkable. Nice beer!
Hazy amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, & floral; Flavor of sweet malt, caramel/toffee, pine hops, some apricot/peach, and citrus (notably grapefruit); Finish is slightly bitter; Not my favorite of the series - but still decent. thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - OCT 25, 2013
Bottle that is likely a few months old. Pours a dark golden to light brown with tan head. Aroma is like homeless urine after about an hour on a hot sidewalk in LA. Taste is malty on the front end and a bit stale. Odd hop profile and overly bitter middle. emacgee (4704) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Pours a soft golden orange with a bit more viscosity than expected and two fingers of off white head. Lots of caramel in the nose and flavor with a touch of oxidized hops. Flavor shows a bit more caramel than care for in the style. Some oxidation on the hops. Spicy hop profile and muted citrus. Getting a touch of age. Some tea notes come through. 22 oz. bottle served in a Pipeworks snifter. Batch #206/7/8
A: Pours a dark amber color with some brown highlights in the body. A dirty white head forms on the pour and recedes to a bubbly ring. Sticky sheets of lace are left down the glass.
S: Mango, candied grapefruit and a little honey. The malts creep up with a butter biscuit like sweetness.
T: The profile is more prevalent than the hops. Buttery with a honey sweetness and sweet breakfast biscuit notes make up a majority of the malt body. Tropical fruits are in the background with a light pineapple note. Minimal grassy notes with a slight piney bitterness on the finish.
M: Medium to light bodied with a little stickiness to the mouthfeel. Medium carbonation level with a little piney finish.
O: A little much buttered biscuit malt for my liking and a touch too sweet. To date this is probably my left favorite Ninja variants as it’s not as balanced as the others.
