COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For those crazy enough to think our smoked porter needed something more, we give you Chipotle Smoked Porter. In addition to the already bold character from the smoked malts, we bring the heat with a healthy dose of chipotle peppers to take this rich porter to the next level. Recommended pairing with a giant hunk of smoked meat and a big ass bon fire on a cold night.

Scipio (1085) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a tan head. Aroma is roasty, with plenty of chocolate and some smoky elements. I don’t get much of the spicy chipotle as advertised. The taste is dominated by smoky chocolate flavors. I find some peppery zest. It is a mild spiciness, but it does leave a bit of burning afterwards. Aftertaste is that spiciness, with heavy chocolate and less smoke. More light in body, with a slick, oily texture. Mild to flat carbonation. This one is pretty good.

Bomber at Tivoli. Yes. This is how a chipotle smoked porter should be done. Nothing is too subdued, nothing is too overwhelming. It’s a nice, dark, dark brown with a khaki head. Aroma has plenty of assertive campfire, roasted malt, chocolate, smoked peppers, bacon, and brownies. The palate is full and coating, but never a chore to choke down. The capsaicin burn is pleasantly present. It never makes me sweat, but I never wish it was stronger. Clean smoked peppers highlight a meaty, smoky, chocolatey, leathery malt body. All around fantastic and not afraid to represent the advertised flavors.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of smoke, chipotles, roasted malt, bakers cocoa and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry warming finish. Flavors of smoke, chipotles, roasted malt, bakers cocoa and earthiness with a smooth dry warming lingering smokey chipotle finish.

Taste: bold Chipotle chili molasses, dry smoked tobacco notes with a big smoked meat nose. Black, opaque with a tan head and nice lace. Full body. Heat follow thru the finish, might pair well with spicy hot dishes

Dark clearish, black-brown. Smells of molasses, some bitter chocolate. Initially quite sweet, turns very spicy through the finish. Medium chewy palate, very acidic. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells light and fluffy cocoa marshmallow. Taste is smooth with a pretty nice burn at the end. Smoke, cocoa, super chipolte. 22oz pour at Lakehouse

Bottle... Pours clear and brown with mahogany highlights and a tiny, fleeting, white head. The nose presents milk chocolate, smoked meat and brine - smells salty. Full-bodied with weak carbonation. The flavor is smoky and sweet with a rumor of salt. Nice chili flavor and warmth in the finish. Ultra-light cardboard element and a trace of salt lingers in the aftertaste. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of smoky sweet malt, caramel, spice, & barbecue; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, caramel, chocolate, and chili peppers; Finish is quite hot; Pretty decent - but heat can be a bit much at times. (9% ABV on the bottle)

Dark brown color, small off-white head. Smoked, roasted, slightly fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, light chilli, low bitterness. A bit dissapointing.
