Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige head. Lots of dark malts in the nose, chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with ashy roast, chocolate, scorched earth. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, with lightly sticky chocolate, hard roast. Very good stuff. Bottle shared by Tom - thanks! Dark dense pour with a smaller rocky head. Roasty, sweet, hoppy, plus being a fairly dense stout. Nice brew!

Bomber shared by me. Dark black pour. Hoppy malty aroma. More hops than I’d like. Not bad. Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2015
Bottle at Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF 2015. Black beer with an beige head. Roasted hoppy chocolate citrus and licorice aroma. Fruity roasted chocolate licorice flavour. A really nice beer :-) Scopey (15471) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2015
Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is rich roast, charred wood, chocolate cake, vanilla and bounty bar. The nose is bitter, big roasted malt, toasty, coffee, a touch of acidity upfront, berry skin, wood, leather, spice and a fair bit ash. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. It doesn’t blow me away, but ’tis fine. tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2015
