Bottle shared by JBPortland ! Pours a deep umber color with a finger of khaki foam. The nose ebbs and flows with sweet chocolate sauce, creamy coffee and boozy abrasiveness. Flavors roll along with layers of chocolate sauce, green coffee, vanilla creme... but there is something a touch artificial about it that Im not completely digging.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2014 Strong coffee aroma. Pour is black with quickly dissipating tan head. Initial taste of coffee with a high APV burn. Sweet finish. Minimal carbination. Wouldve liked a few more bubbles. If you dont like coffee you wont like this beer.

GI Stout Fest 2014. Pours a dark brown-black with a medium brown head. Aroma is of roasted coffee but not crazy intense. The taste is bitter with some coffee flavor. Medium mouth feel.

Shared bomber, poured to snifters, and displayed a darkest brown color, with a modest layer of tan head foam, and light dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was subtle, but noticeable enough notes of roasted malt, mocha, and vanilla. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, low hop bitterness, hidden alcohol, and pleasant sweetness into the finish. Not wowed, but decently drinkable.

Bottle thanks to FullObs. Batch 248/250/252, about 4 months old. Pours very dark brown with a small head that quickly fades to a thin ring. Aroma is nice fresh light roasted coffee, some light sweet lactose, vanilla, cocoa, and caramel. Coffee is the dominant taste and theres a great sweet/bitter balance. Chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and light burnt wood make it through well too. Solid coffee stout that hides the high abv very well.

Bomber, from the Bier Koning, @ home. Batch # 113 (brewed ( April 2013). Very dark brown (not quite black) color. Brown head, quickly receding. Aromas of ground coffee, heavy roasted malts, mocha, sweet, some red fruit. Flavor is rather sweet, sticky toffee, dried fruits. Medium bodied. Finish is roast, somewhat ashy, hardly any bitterness.

Fresh bottle. Pours thick black with caramel border. No head. Aroma is coffee and vanilla. Also Hershey's chocolate. Lots of coffee in the flavor as well as vanilla and some cocoa. A strange background sweetness I can't identify. Creamy and smooth. Lots of carbonation. Great beer.
