Pours a rich dark brown black color with a nice mocha java head. Nose is pure coffee and espresso. Taste is deep rich espresso with heavy malt and some chocolate. Texture is like motor oil. Finishes with a deep lingering coffee flavor. Coffee break anyone , Quaff Score 7 / 10 popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 13, 2014
The beer is black with dark maroon-ish brown edges. Small head, beige. The vanilla comes through clearly in the aroma. The coffee is more muddled than expected. It seems like a nice fruity coffee note, but it blends in quite a bit with the stout flavors. Lots of chocolate with a sweet caramel backbone. Very mildly fruity. Similar experience on the taste. It’s fairly sweet, though certainly not overwhelmingly so relative to other stouts of a similar strength. Moderate acidity. More roast than I picked up from the aroma. A bit more fruity dark malt flavor. Lots of caramel, a bit much for me mostly because it crowds out the chocolate some. Fruity, acidic coffee. Low-ish carbonation. Smooth, full mouthfeel. Good but not great coffee stout. VamboladeTolly (2131) - Tartu, ESTONIA - MAR 24, 2017

22oz bottle. Pours a dark brown black with almost no head. A really strong coffee aroma comes off as I swirl it in my glass. Lots of coffee, bakers chocolate, and vanilla. Similar flavors that are really sweet. As it warms up the coffee and dry roast flavors compete with the sweet molasses malts. A touch of heat near the finish. Although sweet, a decent beer.
