Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - big thanks to Kenneth, pours dark brown with a bubbly tan head. Inviting aroma, nice coffee, some dark fruits, chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, tons of coffee, dark bread, earth, chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, lots of filter coffee, some roasted malts, cocoa. Good balance. I like it.

Bottle, 22oz. It’s a really dark brown beer, topped by a dense, finger-thick tan head. Lots of coffee in the aroma, really loads of it, with dark chocolate and some alcohol. A bit one-dimensional, and that goes for the flavor too. Still, it’s really wonderful. It’s lighlty warming on the palate, full-bodied and quite soft, with the coffee dominating the flavor. Long, warming and coffee dominated finish. Love the coffee in this one, but to be honest it’s sort of boring besides that. 131026

Bottle, big thanks to Adrian from BA for sharing! It pours darkest brown with a small light tan head. The nose is big on the coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, dark fruit, light acidity, salted caramel and vanilla. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, alcohol heat, touch of chilli, wood, some acidity and earth with a dry, roasty finish. Medium-full body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Perhaps a bit hot. Gets better the more you drink. Decent, but I couldn’t drink too much.
