Belgian-pour produces a huge, creamy multi-hued tan head that slowly dissipates. The smell is nice, coffee, brownies, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous. Flavor is bittersweet through and through. Ashy coffee and malts, a bit of booze. I like the ashy astringency but the high sugary booze character blending with it can be too much at times. A solid beer htough. I think the cherry oak treatment of this beer was the best so far.

bottle from lbutikken. pitch dark, smooth large brown head. roasted malts, vanilal beans, coffee, chocolate, moderate hops in the aroma. Quite smooth and dessert-like. Flavor is herbal, roasted malts, coffee, balanced with hops, but very delicately, palate is very smooth, a "plain" very tasty imp stout with some coffee notes. aftertaste is coffee, chocolate, sort of like an espresso chocolate with a bit of roasted malts and hops.
