22 ounce bottle bought in Chicago. Big astringent coffee aroma and taste. Black pour. Dark and sticky. Boozy. Intense.

Bottled. Pours deep black with a creamy beige head. The aroma is quite hoppy with a decent amount of coffee. Some roast and light chocolate. The flavor has stronger notes of coffee than the aroma and notes of hops and roasted malt hits you later on. Bitter roasted coffee bean finish. Great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great beer! Dark brown, almost black. Has a light brown head, lasting. Aroma is harmonic, mixed roasted, soft laqurice, coffee, port-wine. Flavor starts sweet, long duration, light roasted, dry coffee, soft laqurice, modereate bitter finish. Creamy texture.

Pours a deep brown .. mild foam .. . rich coffee and roasty .. . low mouth enjoyment .. . good but needs work .. . I bought a decaffeinated coffee table, you can’t even see a difference.

65 cl bottle @ home, Batch #74?, bottled 14.01.2013
Aroma has mocha coffee, some jalopeno‐like vegetables, chocolate and hints of licorice. Flavour has mocha, ashy notes, soy sauce and salty licorice. Rather smooth and silky palate. Too salty but definitely not bad anyway.

Appearance: Black color with a nice frothy beige head.
Aroma: Chocolate and coffee.
Palate: Full body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, licorice, roasted malt and chocolate. Some alcohol.
Overall impression: Powerful stuff. Some alcohol, but mostly warming, not so disturbing.
Personal stats: Bottle @ Geokkjer.

Bottle at Craft Heads, Tokyo. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and flavour are both coffee, with some roasted coffee and a lingering flavour of coffee.

Idiosynkrasie (8198) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 15, 2013
650ml bottle. Pitch black colour with huge, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with a grainy touch, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, treacle, cautious hints of liquorice, soy sauce, basamico. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, notes of cappuccino, grainy undertones, hints of treacle, later more dry notes with grainy coffee surrogate; constantly present subtle bitter hoppy addendum; soft and sticky palate, alleviating carbonation.

PhillyCraft (8193) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Bottle compliments of Tom shared with a few others. Poured black with light khaki head, not a whole lot of lacing to note. Aromas and flavor of heavy coffee, ample hops, vanilla extract, roasted beans, and bitter dark chocolate. Strong, sticky, and boozey but all in a good way.
