Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2014
Bottle: Batch 248/250/252: Thanks Jdb288: Served in a Chouffe glass: Beautiful creamy beige foamy head on top of a deep dark brown to black colored beer. Aroma has some coffee notes (duh), roast, coffee roast, oatmeal roast, some wood roast, bay leaf roast... Very nice! Flavours of roast, coffee, bitters, coffee beans, coffee roast, malt and oat roast, some raisin, prunes and brown sugars, some herbal roast and bay leaf. Aftertaste is a mix of coffee, coffee sweets, coffee roast, light malt and malt roast with a bitter raisin edge. Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, medium to fuller bodied and a light spiced light creamy light sticky texture. For 10.5%ABV this is quite the drinker. Somewhat crisp and easy but very tasty. Nice!

22 oz bomber. The pour is a dark dark brown with a thin tan collar of head and no lace. The area is pretty big on coffee. There is a great licorice on the nose backed up by a little booziness. The malts balance out well, and this is just a good smelling offering. The flavor is decent. There is a lot of chocolate malts up front, rolling through a good licorice and into a great coffee induced aftertaste. This is smooth and rich. The mouth feel is a little light, but the soft carbonation helps it come across a really creamy. I like how the booze is well hidden and you don't get the same level as in the nose. Well done, but could be a little thicker ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark blackish color with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, espresso, some milk and dark chocolate. Flavor of coffee, cream, sweet chocolate notes. Some roast and dark chocolate. This is certainly nice. It’s medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, lightish carbonation. Pretty nice beer.

Belgian-pour produces a huge, creamy multi-hued tan head that slowly dissipates. The smell is nice, coffee, brownies, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous. Flavor is bittersweet through and through. Ashy coffee and malts, a bit of booze. I like the ashy astringency but the high sugary booze character blending with it can be too much at times. A solid beer htough. I think the cherry oak treatment of this beer was the best so far.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown with an off white head. Yep, lots of coffee - nice, I like coffee in my coffee beers. Dark fruits, vanilla, and chocolate too. Medium alcohol in the finish.
