22 oz. bottle served in a Pipeworks Snifter. Batch # 66 A: Pours a jet black color with a tan head forming on the pour. It recedes a quickly to a thin ring. Sheets of lace are left behind. S: The usual Abduction flavors come through with a great blast of coffee. Espresso, milk chocolate, roasted malts and light dark fruit presence as well. T: The coffee comes through much heavier and richer in the taste. Deep waves of coffee beans, sweet espresso, and vanilla beans. The taste slowly subsides to some dark fruit, fruity yeast and some roasted malts. The finish is sweet with a hint of vanilla as well. M: Drinks wonderfully. Heavier bodied with a medium-low carbonation level. A great mix of roasty and sweet on the finish. Drinks very smooth. O: I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Better than the regular Abduction for sure. I like how the coffee flavors complimented the regular base instead of overpowering it. Definitely a winner that I hope gets put out again. Serving type: bottle

650 ml bottle from trade. with Marco. Thanks. Pours a black color with a medium tan head that has good retention. The aroma is strong with coffee and coffee grounds. The taste, like the nose, is coffee, coffee and coffee. Way in the background there is a trace of mocha, dark chocolate and perhaps some bitter walnuts. The palate is full and creamy and the carbonation is soft. Finishes medium in duration and dry with lingering acidity and grounds. Overall: First rate coffee stout--Very tasty. A must try for fans of coffee brews.

Bomber from Evanston 1st shared with ck1 and my other brother. Pours cola-colored with a tan head. Aroma has jalapeno and fudge, then chocolate and espresso and fudge. Tasty! Dry and slightly peppery , but fudgy. Dry and sweet. Pipeworks is always nice! But not as good as the normal abduction.
