Bomber from Evanston 1st shared with ck1 and my other brother. Pours cola-colored with a tan head. Aroma has jalapeno and fudge, then chocolate and espresso and fudge. Tasty! Dry and slightly peppery , but fudgy. Dry and sweet. Pipeworks is always nice! But not as good as the normal abduction. BeerBaboon (2083) - FINLAND - MAY 31, 2013

Black, Brown thick head. Smell is hoppy, and with some fruity coffee. Delicius coffe. Very fruity and light-roasted as mentioned. Slight vanilla, some Dark chocolate and nice roast in general. Not enough vanilla, but still really good!

22oz bottle in a snifter. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of a lot of coffee, roasted and chocolate malts, a little vanilla, and hints of hops. Flavor the same, with a good amount of coffee that blends with the rest of the beer really well. Smooth to thick texture. A really good beer.

650ml bottle. Pitch black colour with huge, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with a grainy touch, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, treacle, cautious hints of liquorice, soy sauce, basamico. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, notes of cappuccino, grainy undertones, hints of treacle, later more dry notes with grainy coffee surrogate; constantly present subtle bitter hoppy addendum; soft and sticky palate, alleviating carbonation. olio (10167) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 29, 2013

Pours pitch black color with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee, hops, caramel malts, chocolate, dark malts, tar and some dark fruit notes. Flavor of dark chocolate, licorice, dark malts, cocoa powder and coffee.
Bottled @ Beer Temple. Dark color, short head. Aroma of loads of grinded coffee backed up with big roasted malt and chocolate, mocha. Not much licorice and laurel, which makes me happy, as I prefer the chocolate and roast based imperial stouts. Medium sweet, medium bitter, coffee makes it a bit more dry. Although it actually has quite a lot of coffee in the nose, maybe a bit too much, the base beer is able to carry that amount. So, the balance of the beer is very nice and the coffee adds depth to the base beer. Great stuff. saxo (18208) - Hřjbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 26, 2013
