Excelente. Cunningham (7968) - Halden, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2013

Sample from batch #112 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. Inky black pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of roast coffee, semi-bitter chocolate and caramel. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Good beer all around. This is a really well done Coffee Imperial Stout. There is an acrid, heavily roasted note that is reminiscent of a fresh pot being made in a Mr Coffee machine. Maybe not as bold and refined as others in its’ field, this still holds up exceptionally well. Clocks in at over 10% but goes down almost too well, with a medium-full body. So not as syrupy or thick as you might imagine. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2014
Bottle: Batch 248/250/252: Thanks Jdb288: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Beautiful creamy beige foamy head on top of a deep dark brown to black colored beer.
Aroma has some coffee notes (duh), roast, coffee roast, oatmeal roast, some wood roast, bay leaf roast... Very nice!
Flavours of roast, coffee, bitters, coffee beans, coffee roast, malt and oat roast, some raisin, prunes and brown sugars, some herbal roast and bay leaf.
Aftertaste is a mix of coffee, coffee sweets, coffee roast, light malt and malt roast with a bitter raisin edge.
Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, medium to fuller bodied and a light spiced light creamy light sticky texture.
For 10.5%ABV this is quite the drinker. Somewhat crisp and easy but very tasty. Nice! wchesser (2074) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2014
Bottle from trade. Medium heavy body, dark. Coffee and rich chocolate nose. Sweeter, but with roast bitterness. Coffee is mild and not bittering.
