On tap at the Tivoli Brewing Tap House. Black appearance with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, roasted grain, light coffee, and light caramel/toffee/nutty malts. Similar flavor, adding medium plus sweetness and a slight boozy finish. Medium to full body with a slick, creamy feel and soft carbonation. Good, but not great overall.

Bomber pours an opaque dark brown with moderate tan head but no lacing. Aroma has lots of chocolate and vanilla with some roasted coffee and perhaps cinammon. Taste is sweet and syrupy with a boozy and slightly spicy finish. Body is medium to full with a creamy mouthfeel. I get the feeling that Pipeworks wanted a novelty imperial stout this year rather than trying to craft a great Imperial Stout.

65cl bottle, served in Duvel glass. Pitch black colour with nice tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, brown sugar, coffee and...wood, although it is not barrel aged. The taste is mostly dark chocolate and roasted malts. The coffee-like flavour also kicks hard after a few minutes. Even sometimes gives the impression that has been aged in oak barrels, so it is the same perception Ive had before drinking. Mouthfeel is creamy, as usual in milk stouts. Pronounced bitterness and toasty notes. Carbonation is perfect. Very good imperial Stout, but vanilla seems absent.
