Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours clear and brown with copper highlights and a fleeting, beige head. The aroma is an intoxicating, plush and malty swirl of vanilla, caramel, toffee and big-time mocha that’s heavier on the milk chocolate than the deeply roasted coffee portion. Full-bodied, oily and cushiony with soft carbonation. The flavor features sumptuous notes of toffee, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Leans sweet, but is far from cloying. Finishes lightly sweet with a buttery praline aftertaste. This is right there with Alesmith Wee Heavy. Instant Top Ten beer for me! This baby reminds me why a well-done Scotch ale, although tough to come by, remains my favorite style of beer. Bottle courtesy of BBB63! dnicolaescu (2636) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - JUL 28, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2015 100 ml sample. Hazy dark amber, humble beige head. Big and rich dark fruit aroma, raisins, hoppy and spicy, hints of vanilla. Tastes sweet, but not at all sugary, dried fruit, dark bread crust, peppery alcohol. Rich, yet smooth and drinkable body. Excellent. crossovert (13405) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2012
650ml bottle into my scottish style dimpled mug. It is a dark brownish red/cola color with a foamy ligth tan head. The smell is rich in malty and despite the adjuncts is pretty spot on for the style (though I have limited experience with this style, I did have a Balhaven Wee Heavy last night). Maybe a little bit hoppier than the style normally woudl be in the smell. The flavor is rich and boozy. There is tons of coca and some peatiness. Jsut rich, rich malt flavor, I would be interested in the mash done or the malts used. The mouthfeel is thick on first sip but then becomes slick and boozy, right in line with its freshness and abv. This one is a killer from Pipeworks I think Ill need to get more to age/drink.

Tan head. Maple, vanilla, molasses on nose. Deep brown in color. Nice body. Well carbonated. Sweet. Maple til the cows come home. Molasses. Roastiness. Toasty. Great Scotch Ale. More carbonated than most. Slight booze burn. Definitely a sipper. Though dangerously easy to put back.

22 oz. bottle served in a Midnight Sun chub. Batch # 47
A: Pours a dark brown color with semi clear edges where the light hits. A thin tan head forms on the pour and dissipates to a thin ring.
S: Nice roast with some smokey peat as well. Malty sweetness as well.
T: Creamy, smokey and sweet. Light chocolate with some nice bitter roast. Incredibly smooth and rich. There is a slight underlying fruitiness as well. A little alcohol to boot.
M: Medium bodied with a medium low carbonation. Creamy and oily mouthfeel.
O: Great mouthfeel with nice complexity in the flavor department. Definitely one of the best Non-BA Scotch Ales I’ve ever had. Will enjoy again!

500ml courtesy of MrPickles. Big, sweet, chocolate tinged Wee Heavy. Really big on the specialty malts, hard to believe it isn’t barrel aged with all the massive sugary flavor. Has that burnt meat, smoky flavor of a Rauch, but really big a sticky sweet. Meaty, rich. Good beer. jjgmd (2212) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 12, 2014
Pours a dark brown color with a nice brown head. Nose is sweet, fruity and malty. Taste is sweet, toffee, with some spicy licorice notes. Finish is sweet as well, with a syrupy molasses moderately long finish. Quaff Score 8 / 10 douglas88 (9501) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 21, 2014
Bomber thanks to the legendary footbalm. He’s not a man, he’s more. In this context, he’s my friend. Thanks Eric. Pours a dark brown color with a very small head. A big sweet nutty and toffee nose, berries. Big heavy flavors of toffee, leather, smoke, berries, a somewhat thin palate. The overall beer is dead on for this very American style. Excellent. Has some light oxidation which helps for me. Mellows it. Lovely brew. KingCecil (2086) - DENMARK - APR 10, 2013
